Taming Coyote - E.C. Land Page 0,38
seeing Cody scooting across the floor playing with one of his toy motorcycles that one of Coyote’s brothers gave him. I never thought I’d have this kind of happiness in my life. And for that I have Milley to thank.
If not for her and her greatest sacrifice, I would not have met Coyote nor have the chance to be this little boy’s mom. I made myself a promise though, that I’d always tell Cody about who his mom was and between Rachel and I we’d make sure he knew what she was like.
Granted I didn’t know her well, I was there for her in the end when I saw the conflict in her. Milley hadn’t wanted to leave her son. I don’t blame her, but she’d done it out of the pure love in her heart.
“Luce Mia, what are you doing up?” Coyote demands from the mouth of the hallway.
Meeting his gaze, I smile at him. “I’m allowed to be up and moving around,” I say, lifting a hand to run my fingers through my short hair.
“I know that, but it doesn’t mean you should be. I mean hell, you’re close to popping,” he states as he moves across the room. Since the day we’d found out I was pregnant he’s been there every step of the way. It’s kinda of annoying yet sweet at the same time. But there’s a limit to what he can and cannot do for me. Such as holding my damn drink for me when I’m more than capable of doing it myself.
Staring at him as he walks my way, I can’t help but become aroused, but unfortunately for me he won’t do anything. ‘Not ‘til after the baby is born.’ His words when I’d hit the eighth month. Evidently, he’s got it in his head that he’ll end up giving the baby a black eye or something. Didn’t matter if I told him differently.
“Coyote, I’m fine. I don’t need to lay down and I don’t want to unless it happens to be where you’re in bed with me. Maybe your dick inside me,” I giggle.
“Not happenin’, baby, I’m not about to give Chase a black eye,” he mutters but I see the way he adjusts his dick behind his fitted jeans.
The day we’d found out we were having a boy, Coyote immediately called him Chase. I knew why he’d picked the name and tears filled my eyes instantly. Chase and Cody. Two peas in a pod. Brothers who will be there for each other the way he and his best friend should have been.
Though we did talk to Izzy about it and made sure it was okay. We didn’t want to upset her. She’d been ecstatic about us naming our son after her brother.
Since our initial meeting of each other, Izzy and I have become close. I’d shared my past with her, and she’d shared hers, seeing we both had horrific pasts brought us closer. Now we’re inseparable when we have get-togethers. I’ve even become close to her friends. Kenny is hilarious and so are the others.
“Whatever, I keep telling you it’s impossible for you to do, but you won’t listen to me,” I murmur.
“You don’t know that for a fact, Tinsley,” He grumbles as he makes it to me. Glancing down at Cody playing on the floor in front of me, he smirks at his son then turns his attention back to me. Coyote braces his arms on either side of me, he leans forward and captures my mouth in a soul capturing kiss. It happens every time he kisses me.
When he breaks the kiss, I whimper in need wanting him to continue kissing me. It’s like the world freezes around me when we’re touching.
“So, Luce Mia, what’s it feel like?” he asks, sitting down next to me.
“What do you mean?” I retort, not understanding what he means by what’s it feel like.
“I’m asking what’s it feel like knowing you’re the one to tame the beast within?” he grins.
Sucking in a breath, tears fill my eyes as his words hit me. “It feels damn good, Cody.”
“Good, so that means you’ll continue doing it for the rest of our lives,” he announces as he grabs hold of my hand and places a ring on my finger.
Oh shit.
“Is this you asking me to marry you?” I whisper.
“Nope, I’m telling you, baby. You are marrying me before Chase comes and then you’re gonna be my wife until I take my last breath. I’m not gonna live
