She sat up and lifted her sweatshirt over her head, tossing it aside.

She studied him. “Are you always prepared or were you hoping this might happen?”

“Which is the right answer?” he asked. Truth was, he’d slipped it into his wallet last minute with no expectations, just a lot of hope and wanting to be prepared.

She grinned. “Maybe it’s best to not answer at all,” she said, opening it.
