lover came through the closed door.
“I really enjoyed this…it was truly wonderful…aww honey…what did you say your name was again?”
It’s funny because when he said that, the average woman would have been pissed at him, but not this woman…naw it was just a reminder of who she really was…to her this just reminded her...that she was a closet freak!

It was a hectic day at the office for India Wynn as she walked over toward the water cooler. She looked extremely nervous as she took out some Prozac antidepressant pills from her purse. Hands shaking, she grabbed the paper cup from the dispenser and drew some water from the cooler. She glanced around the area; making sure no one was watching her as she quickly devoured the pills, swallowing vigorously, allowing the pills to sink down her throat. After standing there by the water cooler for about five minutes, the medication quickly began to take effect, calming her anxiety so she could continue to work on her portion of the project. She was about to finish an extremely crucial endeavor that would profit the corporation an estimated $250 million dollars if this plan was adopted. She and her team worked night and day for three months trying to get this project ready for the project management board meeting schedule for 10:00 AM the next morning, which meant working extremely late that evening. After she noticed the clock and saw that the team had been there until around midnight, she decided to release everyone.
“Marc…I think we have this thing beat... I want you and the rest of the team to call it a night.”
“Sure…India, I agree…this project will knock them dead for sure.” “What about you?” “You need to get some rest yourself…you’re the one who’ll be briefing in the meeting.”
“Yeah…I know…I’ll be leaving here in about an hour.” “You guys go on ahead…I’ll be fine!” “See ya in the morning.”
He looked at her and smiled as he walked toward the door. As he was about to go and inform the rest of the team that they were released, India stopped him as he opened the door, “Marc…thanks for everything…I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
He smiled as he replied, “You know…I got your back!” “Get some rest…don’t stay too late!”
She laughed as she replied, “Boy…get out of here!”
He laughed as he walked out the door, shutting it behind him.
As he strolled down the hall toward the team he thought, “I wish she knew how much I wanted her...I just wish I could find a way to tell her.”
Meanwhile down the hall, India continued to put the final touches on the project until 1:30 AM. She glanced at the clock as she thought, “Damn…I need to go home and get some rest before the briefing in the morning.”
She quickly grabbed her coat and purse, walking toward the office door. When she reached the door and opened it, she hit the light switch turning off the lights in the office. She slowly strolled toward the elevator as she noticed a janitorial worker, who was whistling as he buffed the floor. He looked at her and waved as the elevator doors finally opened. She stepped into the elevator, turned around and was now facing him smiling as the elevator doors slowly closed. She rode the elevator down the extensive lonely ride, down the fifteen floors, which eventually made it to the main lobby of the building.
As the elevator doors opened, all that was on her mind was how she would began her briefing, memorizing her words, as they continually played over and over again in her over reactive mind. She strolled slowly through the parking garage toward her $150,000 dollar, 2010 Jaguar XJ continuing to recite her words when suddenly she thought about how she hated going home to an empty apartment every night. As she pushed the button on her keys to start her engine, she thought about how she longed for that special someone to come into her life. Suddenly reality stepped in, as she thought about how her career had taken precedence over everything in her life. Thinking aloud to herself she says, “I don’t need no man to make me complete...I just need my career...that’s it...my career!”
India had a problem, she trusted no one. She promised herself after growing up watching her mother struggle to pay bills or to put food on their table that she would not live like that again. Her father left them several years prior,
