Secrets Worth Keeping (Finding my Home #2)- Nikita Parmenter Page 0,131
my answers going to be.
“Yes please, Big Guy” I grin.
“Me too!” Jensen exclaims hopping up on the counter next to me and pinching a brownie.
“Anyone else?” Rafe asks, everyone saying they want one. “Don’t eat all of those, you two” he commands and I just stare at him innocently making him chuckle.
“Alright share the brownies, Rafe made enough for an army” Trick orders and me and Jensen both take another one each before surrendering the plate to the others.
“I’m going to enjoy getting you back for that earlier stunt, Sweetheart” Trick whispers huskily as he leans in to take the plate off the counter between me and Jensen.
“Can’t wait, Sir” I grin as his eyes flash with heat.
He leans in and captures my lips with his, kissing me with unrestrained passion. He smirks at my dazed expression when he steps back and chuckles.
Damn, these guys can get me fucking going.
Rafe hands us all our hot chocolates and we end up taking them into the sitting room. Instead of restarting the game or putting a movie on, Cash and Atlas disappear upstairs and I watch curiously until they come back down bringing two extremely well loved guitars with them. I immediately get overtly excited and start bouncing on my seat and they both chuckle at me as they take a seat and start playing.
I know I look like a fish right now but I can’t fucking help it, my jaw hits the floor. Neither one of them are looking at me so I don’t bother trying to school my reaction and I know a couple of the guys are watching me and my reaction as I hear quiet chuckles but I don’t give a shit. Just as I’ve gotten over the shock of them playing together perfectly, Cash starts to sing and the power of his voice hits me all over again. I lean back, taking a sip of my hot chocolate and just enjoy the music they’re making. With the fire lit and the snow outside as well, it really is like a dream. They play a few songs before they take a break both reaching for their spiked hot chocolates.
“You guys are amazing, you should be on stage” I compliment and Cash grins at me, he knows how much I love his music, which reminds me, I still haven’t listened to the music he put on my new iPod for me.
“I can’t” Atlas says bitterly as regret and resentment flash through his eyes, making them turn an even icier shade of blue.
“Why not?” I ask, although I’m pretty damn sure it has something to do with whatever is going on with him.
“It would be too public, certain people would recognise me and that would be really bad” he surprisingly admits but it seems like he didn’t mean to tell us that much as his eyes widen slightly and he starts to grimace.
I share a look with the guys, just another piece in the puzzle that is Atlas’s life and what he’s got going on at the moment. I decide to change the subject.
“Well it sucks to be the rest of the world then, but I get to be the lucky bitch that gets to hear you guys play. I do have a request though?” I finish seriously.
Atlas’s big shoulders tense as he eyes me warily and the rest of them send me warning looks that make me want to roll my eyes.
Oh boys of little faith.
“Can you play something else?” I ask innocently but ruin it by smirking.
Atlas blinks at me for a second completely uncomprehending. Before he grins and opens his arms for me.
I waste absolutely no time at all in crossing the room and snuggling down in his giant arms.
“Anything for you, Princess” he says as he moves me so I’m sat on his lap properly and brings his guitar up to rest on both of our legs his arms wrapping around me and easily reaching the guitar to play.
“Dude you should do that thing we used to do” Luc suggests vaguely.
Atlas pauses slightly before agreeing.
“Come on, you know you want to show off just a little bit” Jensen goads, smirking.
I tilt my head up and Atlas’s grin widens, he dips his head kissing me quickly before he pulls back.
“Alright fair point, start with Jensen. If I’m doing this though Cash you’re singing” he says and curiosity burns through me.
“Deal” Cash grins.
“Falling in reverse, I’m not a vampire” Jensen suggests.
Atlas immediately starts playing with no hesitation and
