Secrets Worth Keeping (Finding my Home #2)- Nikita Parmenter Page 0,101

Atlas stood directly behind me, since he’s the tallest. I lean back against him my head coming to the middle of his chest and he tangles our fingers together, Rafe and Riot are stood either side of him being the second tallest guys, then I have Jensen on one side and Trick on the other as Luc and Cash stand next to them.

“I set it to do a burst of photos, in case someone blinks or something” Cash tells us.

“Good idea.” Trick replies just as the flash goes and I try to keep my smile in place and then give up and stick my tongue out.

The guys disperse and take seats on the huge sectional and I go to the join them, ending up sat between Luc and Riot, as Trick and Cash stay by the tree.

“Ok so like normal when we give presents to each other. Me and Cash will hand everyone’s out and then once everyone’s got all of theirs we’ll open them at the same time, that way there’s none of the awkward staring whilst one person opens a present” Trick explains, more than likely for my benefit since the guys have been giving each other gifts for years.

Everyone nods in agreement and I smile as the guys start handing out gifts and Jensen gets overtly excited for each one he gets. It’s incredibly cute. I’m glad the guys do presents this way, I would have felt super uncomfortable if we did it one at a time. I absolutely would’ve reacted inappropriately under that sort of pressure. I’m not comfortable when all the focus is on me and I always end up making a giant ass of myself.

My own pile grows as the presents get handed out and I’m probably more excited than Jensen by this point. I distract myself by watching the guys. My gaze lands on Atlas as he gets more presents, I watch as he counts them realising there’s more there than just presents from the guys and his eyes flash to meet mine. I catch the surprise in his eyes before my own dart away.

“Alright guys dig in” Trick announces and everyone starts talking and laughing as they open their presents.

I pick out a small rectangle box from my pile and pull of the paper, once I have it unwrapped I stare in shock at the latest iPhone.

“That’s from me” Trick says quietly.

“It’s too much. Thank you so much Trick!” I exclaim gratefully and he smiles going back to his other gifts and talking with the guys.

Holy fuck.

Slightly in shock I reach for the next present.

“That ones from me and sort of goes with your phone, Sunshine” Riot says nudging me.

I pull off the wrapping paper to see that there’s one of those workout arm band things so you can wear your phone and some tiny Bluetooth headphones. I lean over to Riot and give him a kiss on the cheek.

“Thank you, Riot. I love it. Those two are from me” I say pointing to the two presents that have around six of those sticky backed bows stuck to them. I must’ve been pretty far into the eggnog by the time I got to his presents. He smirks at all the bows carefully unsticking two and re-sticking one to his forehead and one to mine. I giggle in response and his grin widens. Riot’s present is one of the only ones I’m not that nervous about. He unwraps the dark red hoody and holds it up.

“Thank you, Sunshine” he says.

“Well it’s kind of for me too. It’s to replace the one I stole” his eyebrows hit his hairline and he starts to chuckle when he realises that I was being serious when I said he wasn’t getting it back. “You can have it back when it stops smelling like you and then I’ll nab this one” I shrug as he bursts out laughing. “Hey I’m not ashamed of my weird love of smelling your hoody’s” I shrug and he laughs louder.

“I’m good with that, Dragonfly” he finally manages to reply through his laughter and gives me a quick kiss. “What’s this one?” He asks holding up the second one.

“Well, that’s sort of a gag gift. I got everyone something similar” I grin.

Riot tears into it and pulls out the Christmas jumper I chose for him, he immediately puts it on and grins down as he studies the Rudolf on the front with a beer in his hand or is it hoof? And Christmas
