around.”

His head bobbed faster as he jacked me off at the base. Damn, he was getting good at this. Not perfect kind of good, but there was a lot to say about his eagerness.

Sometimes that was all that was needed. Great enthusiasm. It didn’t hurt that he was a handsome devil who kept his eyes locked onto mine as if he were seeing into my soul.

Seeing into my lie that this was a one night fling.

The truth was that I wasn’t finished with Charles, and I didn’t think he was finished with me either.

Not even when my hand tightened in his hair at my impending climax.

“Charles, I’m gonna come.”

He released me at the last moment, pumping me with his palm. I gasped as I came, splattering his jacket with thick white ropes. He kept jacking me off until he’d milked every bit of cum out of me.

When he was done, Charles rocked back on his heels and smiled up at me. He looked calmer than when he’d just arrived.

“Mission accomplished.” He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.

I left my robe hanging open and grabbed his hand to help him to his feet. I caught his wince and wrapped an arm around his waist and pulled him to me. Then I kissed him slowly.

At first, he stiffened. Then he sighed and just allowed me to have my way with him.

“Thank you.” I cupped his cheek, my thumb running over his stubble. “Now follow me. You’re going to tell me what’s wrong.”

I released him and closed the door. When I turned back to him, he was leaning against the wall, frowning.

“Come on.”

“Where are we going?”

“Surprise.” I winked at him over my shoulder. “You’ll see.”

“Look, I know I should’ve answered your text—”

“It doesn’t matter. You’re here now. When you’re good and ready. I don’t want you to do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.” I glanced back at him. “Are you uncomfortable now?”

“Not really uncomfortable. More worried that the longer we keep this up, the more likely we are to be discovered.”

“Who’s going to find out? We’re all alone. Relax, Charles.”

“Maybe you’re right.”

I slowed down and clasped his hand in mine. We took the turn downstairs that led toward the pool area. Only we weren’t exactly going to the pool. Just off to the right was a room that was built like an in-house spa.

Charles was silent when he took in the bubbling hot tub, the soft music playing, and the lamps I’d turned on low.

“Oh god, did I interrupt something?” He jerked his hand out of mine and stepped back. “You were expecting someone else.”

Ah, he thought I’d done all this for someone else. I hid my smile. “Would that make you upset?”

“No.” He answered way too fast.

“Liar.”

He frowned. “You don’t understand. This can’t mean anything. I can’t be upset if you already have someone else in such a short time, but you were with me just a couple of days ago!”

The more he talked, the angrier he sounded. I’d never have pegged Charles for the jealous type before. It reminded me just how little I knew about him.

“There’s no one else.”

He laughed, the sound not humorous in the least. “Try again. Do you know how many times I’ve used that line? And believe me, there was always someone else whenever I said that.”

“But I’m not you. You’re not even the same man you were before we met, are you?”

He glanced away from me. “Don’t make me out to be someone decent, August. I’m not. I wouldn’t have come here at all tonight if I didn’t need the distraction. I’m just here for my own selfish reasons.”

“Hmm, quite selfish of you to get me off just a few minutes ago.”

“You’re twisting everything into what you want to hear!” he snapped, pacing the small area before us.

“How? Because I refuse to listen to the bullshit coming from your mouth? You don’t even know what you want.”

He stopped walking and spun around to me. “That’s wrong. I know exactly what I want, but I shouldn’t want it.”

“Tell me.”

“When you’re inside me, nothing else matters.” The words came out in a whisper. “I want to feel that way again.”

“And then what? You leave after and pretend it didn’t happen? Again?”

“What else can it be? You really think we can afford for this to get out?”

He was right and yet so wrong. “You won’t be satisfied, you know. You’ll always come back when you want more.”

Charles shrugged off his jacket, allowing it to
