The Rose Witch - Chandelle LaVaun Page 0,85

felt the pride and joy coursing through his veins. So I knew he felt the relief and happiness in me. He felt the fullness in my heart as I felt it in his.

He was mine and I was his. For all of eternity. We would never be parted.

“I love you. Forever.”

He brushed his thumb along my jawline then pulled me close. He leaned down and pressed his forehead to mine, our noses brushed. His warm breath washed over my face. That burning embers scent filled my lungs and it soothed my soul. I wrapped my hands around his wrists then pushed up on my toes and pressed my lips to his.

As our lips crashed together I couldn’t believe how my life had changed in just a day. I’d gone from catching my boyfriend in bed with another woman to having a soulmate. The love of my life. I went from questioning my relationship with Rolland to questioning how I ever lived without Malachi. I’d gone from being a fellow at All Souls College to being the All Souls Angel. From student and researcher…to an actual angel.

Nothing had ever felt more perfect and right than this.

When he pulled back, I grinned and jumped up, wrapping my arms around his neck and hanging off of him. “So before we get to our forever…there are things we have to do.”

His eyes flashed. He wrapped his arms around me tight. “We have to find The Coven and help them win this war.”

“Right.” I grinned. “But first, you have to teach me how to be an angel.”

“You were born one,” he whispered.

I groaned and laughed. “Who knew the Prince of Hell could be so cheesy.”

He chuckled and his face flushed. “Oh, wait until you meet my father.”

“Don’t try and distract me with the idea of meeting a cheesy Lucifer.” I shook my head and jumped back down to my feet. I threw my arms out and my pretty white wings spread wide. “First, you’re going to teach me how to fly.”

My magic doesn’t define me.

Within my secret, ancient race of witches, everyone prays to join the most powerful circle of all—The Coven. Well, everyone except for me. All I want is to discover the truth of the past that was stolen from me. So I lay low, defending the world from demons and training to strengthen my magic.

But when I discover an artifact that can defeat the demons for good, I’m forced to do the one thing I never wanted—claim my rightful place in The Coven so I can hunt down the artifact myself.

I know my success will require sacrifices, but I fear I won’t be able to handle the price…

Season Three (Fae Magic) **chronologically parallel to The Rose Witch**

What is magic?

My name is Saraphina Proctor...and that’s the only thing I can remember.

I woke up alone, surrounded by darkness with no memory. No one here knows who I am, I don’t fit any of the missing persons reports, and the doctors can’t find a single thing wrong with me…my memory…my life…they’re just…gone.

But something lurks in the shadows in Salem, watching me…waiting. I feel its eyes on my back and my name whispered in the wind. Even in the light of day the friendly smiles around town put me on edge.

Someone isn’t telling me the truth but I will find out what happened to me…and I think Riah knows more than his pretty mouth is telling me. There's a story in those golden eyes of his, now I just need to get close enough to him to find out…

Season One (Elemental Magic)

I thought magic was make believe...but I was way wrong.

I was nobody. No matter how hard I tried, I never fit in with anyone at my high school. Now I know why.

Turns out I'm a witch. A scary powerful one, too. Except The Coven that claimed me won't teach me how to use my magic.

Suddenly, I'm selected by the Goddess to hunt down a mythical locket needed to save the world from destruction. The only person who actually tries to help me is the alarmingly attractive Tennessee. He has immeasurable power and breathtaking mismatched eyes. I'm drawn to him on a level I can't explain...and he's forbidden from getting too close to me.

When the quest takes an unexpected dangerous turn, I have to improvise. This supernatural world is unraveling at my fingertips and I need to master my magic fast. If I don't, I could get everyone I care about killed...

Season Two (Academy Magic)

Magic. Isn’t. Real.

At least that's what I thought. But now, my story is changing...

You know you’re invisible when even your bullies forget to pick on you. That’s me, Bettina Blair, hidden in plain sight. No matter how hard I try I just never fit in with my classmates.

Now I know why. I’m a witch...apparently.

One little demon attack and my parents confess their ugly secret…and ship me off to an elite academy of magic- for witches only.

I can't summon magic. I can't fight with my hands or my fists. I just don't belong here, and Jackson Lancaster keeps reminding me every single chance he gets. This boy is the most insufferable, intolerable, unbearable, judgmental person to ever have the right to be that gorgeous. I don’t care how sexy his British accent is, or that literally everyone else on campus adores him. He hates me, and the feeling is mutual.

Suddenly, I’m sent on a quest into the Old Lands to find the only thing that can save Eden from a demon invasion. I’m in way over my head, and my best chance of coming back alive lies in the hands of the guy who wants me gone…
