to have a baby."
Damon’s eyes got large. "Baby?"
They all laughed. Eli found it sweet the way Damon was already eager. "A brother…a brother. No girls." His little nose actually wrinkled.
Eli laughed. "We don’t know yet, but you could have a sister. Would that be so bad?"
Damon scrunched up his nose. "No girls. When? Will I see him next week?"
"Next week?" Eli chuckled. "No, baby, it definitely doesn’t happen that fast."
He frowned. "I’ll take him for show and tell at school."
Eli stifled his laughter. "Sorry to disappoint, bud, but there will be other show and tells, and your little brother or sister will be here for one of those. Okay?"
"Okay, Daddy." He jumped up from his place on the floor and rushed over to them, throwing his arms around both of them. "I love you daddy. Love you Jack."
"We love you!" Jack’s voice was thick with emotion and again, Eli’s heart did a soft flutter.
Damon pulled back."Can I watch TV?"
Eli snickered. The excitement was ever changing with the four-year-old. "You can!" Eli turned the TV on to the cartoon channel, and Damon planted himself in front of the TV. Eli grabbed Jack’s hand, and they walked out of the living room until they got to the kitchen.
"I’d say that went rather well," Jack said.
"Yeah, until you offered him a puppy." Eli laughed. "He already has you wrapped around his finger, doesn’t he?"
"I am. I would do anything for him. Are you okay with that?" Jack asked,
Eli nodded. "I am. I definitely am." He wrapped his arms around Jack’s neck. "Still, no dog yet, please."
"I promise to ask before getting one." Jack kissed him on his cheek.
"Deal. So what are your plans for the rest of the night?" Eli asked.
"Depends on yours," Jack said. "I’m yours for the taking."
Eli laughed. "Later. How about we plan on inviting the rest of the family over here. I don’t want to wait another minute to tell them. Besides, now that Damon knows our secret, it will only be a matter of time before my mom and sister will find out."
Eli chuckled. They had told his mom Eli had eaten something that didn’t sit right. It was hard to keep the secret from her, but they wanted to surprise everyone with the news all at the same time.
Besides, this time he actually wanted to celebrate.
"I’ll make calls to my family. We have two things to celebrate."
"We do?" Eli raised a brow trying to figure it out.
"Yeah, a baby and a new house," Jack said.
"You have a new house," Eli pointed out. "I don’t."
"No, we do," Jack said.
Eli moved so he wasn’t leaning against Jack.
"No. I am not moving in just because I’m pregnant." He folded his arms and shook his head. He wouldn’t do it.
"Baby. Look at me please," Jack pleaded. "Look at me."
Eli raised his eyes to stare into Jack’s face.
“I bought that house for us. From the moment I saw you again, I knew that I wanted everything with you. Me, you, Damon, and our little peanut; we’re a family. And I planned to do it big, ask you guys to move in."
"Is that why you’re still in the hotel? I know you’re having everything repainted and the new furniture installed, but you could technically stay there." Eli had been wondering.
"Yes. But I didn’t want to rush you, and there’s the small matter of me not wanting to spend one day there without you and Damon."
Eli cupped Jack’s cheek. "I don’t know what I did to deserve you."
"I think you stole my line," Jack whispered. "Is that a yes?"
"It’s a definite yes." He couldn’t hide the tears in his voice. Not that he wanted to.

Jack
Jack and Eli stood in the living room, Damon right beside them. If they wanted to be the ones to share the news, then they needed to tell the whole family soon or Damon would. The kid was jumping around like he had ants in his pants.
Jack knew how much Eli wanted to share the news with his family. He hadn’t been able to celebrate the last time, and he wanted to. And Jack wanted to make sure he had a chance to. Luckily, everyone was able to attend.
"Can we have your attention?" Eli called out. Everyone looked their way. "First of all, I’ll start with some introductions. Jack, this is Chloe, my sister, and her husband Tony. Their two kids, Jamison and West."
Chloe was a beautiful, curvy blond with the same gray eyes as Eli. Her husband was tall
