been told I don’t have enough patience.”

“I can’t cook for shit,” I say. “And I have no idea what beef wellington is.”

“Oh, it looks delicious. We’ll have to try it.” She wiggles a little bit, her tits bouncing, and I appreciate the view more than she’ll ever know. “I’m so excited that we’ll actually get to meet.”

“Me too,” I tell her.

“I have to warn you, though.” She pauses, her teeth sinking into her lower lip. I bet she doesn’t mean for that face to be sexy, but damn it is.

“Warn me about what?”

“I’m really awkward in person.” My doubtful look makes her forge on. “No, I’m serious! I’m so awkward with guys, it’s kind of embarrassing. I say the weirdest stuff. I act weird. Give me a glass of wine or two and I turn super awkward.”

“I can handle awkward,” I say with ease.

“I don’t know.” The skeptical look she sends me is obvious. “I’m a bit of a mess.”

“You’re a cute mess,” I tell her, and she starts blushing again.

“You’re not so bad yourself,” she says, her gaze meeting mine through the camera. “You’re very…muscular.”

“I work out a lot.” I turn to the side and show off my right bicep like a bragging bastard. I even flex it. “My body is a temple.”

“It’s a pretty sexy temple,” she says. The moment the words leave her mouth, she’s covering it with her hand. “Ooops. I didn’t mean to say that out loud.”

Her voice is muffled from her hand and I can’t help but laugh.

“I don’t mind. I like your honesty.” She’s a breath of fresh air.

“Honesty, awkwardness, whatever you want to call it,” she says after she drops her hand from her face.

“Am I your usual type?”

“Um, I don’t really have a type, I don’t think?” There she goes again, wrinkling her nose. It’s a cute look for her. She tugs on the neckline of her shirt, pulling it over her exposed shoulder, but it just slides right back down again. “I like them tall.”

“I’m six-one.”

“I like a man with a sense of humor.”

“I’ll make you laugh your ass off.”

“I don’t want them skinnier than me.”

“I am definitely not skinnier than you,” I reassure her.

“Good, because I’m kind of a—curvy girl.”

“I like my hands to be full of curves when I touch a woman,” I say.

She giggles. “You’re going to embarrass me.”

“What? It’s true. I appreciate a woman’s curves.”

“Glad to hear it, because I have plenty of them.”

I lean in a little closer to the screen. “I can’t wait to explore them.”

“Are you dropping some sexual innuendo right now?”

“I sure as shit hope so,” I answer.

Eleanor laughs. “I like you.”

A warm sensation wraps around my heart, giving it a squeeze. That same warm feeling is also wrapping around my dick. “I like you too. A lot.”

Fuck holding back. Fuck playing it cool. I’m excited to meet this woman in the flesh.

Can’t wait to get my hands on her flesh too.

“I’ve met someone,” I announce.

It’s Monday, it’s my day off, and I’m at lunch with Kelsey and Sarah in downtown Carmel, at a restaurant in the same complex where my salon and Sarah’s work are located. It’s Sarah’s day off too, though Kelsey had to work, since she’s Alex’s assistant. Alex, as in Caroline’s fiancé.

Yes, we’re all interconnected somehow.

Kelsey had to come into Carmel to drop off some paperwork to Caroline for Alex, so when she texted us asking if we wanted to meet up and have lunch, both Sarah and I jumped on it. We’re all about lunch. And brunch. We eat out a lot. Drink a lot of wine too.

No wonder I have curves. I try my best to curb my caloric intake, but sometimes, especially with this group of friends, it’s difficult.

But back to the juicy stuff.

At my sudden declaration, Sarah’s eyes go wide and she settles back in her chair. “What do you mean, you’ve met someone?”

“Is it that same guy you’ve been talking to on the app?” Kelsey asks.

Sarah looks from me to Kelsey in confusion. “What app? What are you talking about?”

“Yes, it’s the same guy,” I tell Kelsey before turning to Sarah. “Kelsey and I are on that new Rate a Date app. Trying to find ourselves some decent men.”

Sarah makes a face. “Please tell me it’s not some sleazy hookup place.”

“Well, the first guy I went out with from that app turned out to be a complete jackass,” Kelsey mutters.

I’m a little offended Sarah thinks we’re on some sleazy hookup place. I mean,
