Priest Priest (Hell's Ankhor Book 10) - Aiden Bates Page 0,34

through me with an intensity I wasn’t used to—at home, my orgasms were pretty perfunctory, at this point. But the fantasy was so real, so intense, and I wanted Priest so fucking badly—it shocked me how badly I wanted him. I came in ropes onto the shower wall, and before I could remember where I was, a loud, low groan slipped through my lips, echoing through Priest’s big, fancy bathroom.

And then the fucking door burst open.

“Are you all right?” Priest asked in a high, shocked tone. “I heard something—”

“Holy shit!” I nearly shouted. I was completely visible through the glass doors of the shower, from my hand on my dick to the cum on his shower wall. My face flamed hot and I tried to turn away in such a hurry—would rather show my ass than my dick—that my feet slipped in the soapy water.

I fell flat on my ass, nearly braining myself on the tile but catching myself at the last minute. It was only the size of the shower stall that saved me from concussing myself—but my foot did almost take out one of the little shelves in the corner. Almost.

“Fuck,” I groaned. So much for luxuriating in the aftermath of my orgasm. I rubbed my hand over my face, and—oh, come on, there was still soap on my hand, and it got in my eyes. “Fuck!” I said, wriggling around on the shower floor until I got my face under the shower spray, then I tilted my head back underneath it to rinse the soap out of my eyes.

Priest cleared his throat. “Um.”

Oh, so he was still standing in the bathroom watching all this. Great. I didn’t open my eyes.

“This is your fault,” I grumbled.

“Here’s a towel,” Priest said, and I heard the shower door open. I shut off the water, then reached out blindly until my hand met the fluffy towel.

I wiped off my face first, then staggered to my feet and wrapped the towel around my waist with my back to Priest. Facing the wall, I pressed my lips together and tried to will my cheeks from burning too hot. This was so embarrassing. It was embarrassing enough to get caught jerking off, but then nearly destroying his shower, too? And my whole body ached from the fall—it made me feel old. Like if I’d landed a little differently on my ass, we’d be calling the ambulance to come haul me back to my feet.

But I couldn’t just stand in the shower grimacing and hoping that Priest would leave, because he wouldn’t. Wasn’t his style. So I squared my shoulders and turned around.

Priest did not look even the slightest bit concerned. Actually, his warm blue eyes were glittering with laughter, and he was biting his lower lip to try to hide a grin. Even his shoulders were quivering, like it was taking all his self-control to not double over.

Suddenly, my humiliation was washed away.

“Come on,” I said with a dramatic eyeroll. I slugged him on the shoulder as I walked past, holding the towel up around my waist and dripping all over the floor. “Shouldn’t you be apologizing to me?”

“Sorry, old man, did you break a hip in there?” Priest said, and then broke down laughing.

“I could’ve!” I said with a huff. “I was having a moment!”

“Sounds like it,” Priest teased. “I thought you were hurt.”

“Well, I am now.” I leaned against the bathroom counter. “Was having a nice time before that.”

“Looked like it,” Priest said. He leaned against the counter at my side and knocked his shoulder against mine. “Sorry. Just kind of on edge with everything that’s going on.”

“What, did you think Xavier was hiding in the bathroom somehow?”

“Maybe!” Priest threw his hands up. “I wasn’t really thinking. I just acted.”

“Well, thanks for trying to save my life,” I said with a fond shake of my head. “I’m super relaxed now.”

Priest grinned sheepishly, then peered over his shoulder and grabbed the beer I’d left on the counter. “Hey, at least this survived the chaos,” he said, and pressed it into my hand.

I took a grateful swig and then shook my head. “Hell of a way to end a hell of a day.”

“Can’t say it was boring, at least,” Priest said. “I’ll let you get changed. Sorry again about that.”

“Don’t worry about it,” I said with a grin. “Gotta keep things interesting somehow.”

Priest slipped out of the bathroom, leaving me to towel off and change into my pajamas. I was still embarrassed, but it
