Perfect Match Enemies to lovers romance - Leia Stone Page 0,44

the bedroom was insane. I had yet to hear an insecure question or have her cover her body up. That was the hottest fucking thing ever.

Millie sat up and coaxed me to lay down on the bed, straddling me. She settled herself on top of me and reached down between us, pulling the length of my hardness into her.

Oh God.

She rocked on top of me as I reached up and took her breasts into my hands, brushing over her nipples with my thumbs. My eyes landed on the wedding rings that hung from her chain and for half a second I remembered the snake omen. It didn’t bother me that she wore them, I just hoped she was in a good place emotionally to be doing this. I didn’t ever want to take advantage of a woman. Hopefully I wasn’t the first dude since her husband died.

When her nails raked down my chest to my abs and she squeezed herself tighter around me, pressure built between my legs and all thoughts flew from my head. I reached down, using my thumb to work on her, and her head tilted backward as a sexy as all hell guttural moan left her lips.

This woman was going to kill me. I was known for my stamina, but with her I’d be lucky to last five minutes. Splaying my palm at her lower back, I lifted her up and spun, tucking her beneath me so I could be on top. Her blonde hair splayed out onto the pillow and she spread her legs, hooking them behind my back as I slowly moved inside of her.

“Ashton,” she huffed as my thumb continued to work on her.

The way she said my name, it made my stomach drop out, and that pressure built up even more. She started to move her hips in circles, and I knew this was about to be over. I couldn’t hold on anymore. Burying my face in her neck, I trailed my tongue across her collarbone up to her ear as pleasure exploded throughout my body and we rocked together as we came.

I loved seeing her get off, loved seeing how much she enjoyed this. Gone was the uptight viper. This version of Millie was confident and gave into her passion, and I felt my walls come down. I could be with a woman like this. A woman who called me on my shit and rocked my world in bed. She was perfect and that scared me.

When my body stopped shaking, I pulled myself off of her and lay on the bed, tucking her into the crook of my arm. We were both glistening with sweat and panting. I looked down at her and she met my gaze with a grin.

“Wow,” was all I could think of to say.

“Yeah,” she sighed, in what I hoped was contented bliss. Her fingers came up to reach for mine but got caught on her necklace, and I saw the moment her entire face changed. Some realization came over her and her smile went flat, eyes concerned.

I lost her. Wherever she was, it wasn’t here anymore.

It was with him.

Whoever she’d lost.

It hurt to see that, and now I was wondering if she was ready to move on. My walls came back up the second I saw her face change. If she wasn’t ready for this, then neither was I. I wasn’t sure if I could take another heartbreak. If she wasn’t properly over this dude, then I didn’t want anything to do with her. There were a ton of girls that I could just fuck and not date. Millie wasn’t one of them. I wanted all of her or nothing.

“Should I leave?” I asked her point blank, and her face paled.

She dropped the necklace she’d been holding and grasped my fingers.

“No. Stay … if you want.” Then she snuggled into my arm and I wrapped myself around her.

What the hell was I doing? How had this woman crawled into my life, tried to convince me to save my bar, and gotten me to consider quitting smoking? Yes, I went back and picked up that pack of gum. She was … what I’d been waiting for. She was a bright light in the darkest year of my life, and if she was having some trouble letting her late husband go, I was okay with that. I got that. If anyone could understand her grief, it was me.

Reaching down, I kissed her forehead before slipping into the bathroom
