He gripped the tops of Sebastion’s thighs, nails digging into his skin through the fabric of his trousers. He groaned, and Sebastion felt the vibrations all the way to his balls.
“I’m not going to last long,” he groaned. He loosened one hand from Luca’s hair so he could brace himself on the counter as he leaned back. His hips began to move, fucking into the hot, wet mouth. Luca sucked, he licked, he swallowed, and Sebastion felt his orgasm building.
Normally it took a lot longer, but the week had been good, and his husband looked so happy, and this almost felt like letting go and diving into more than just physical pleasure.
“I,” he started. He was hot. He was ready.
Luca didn’t need the warning. He sank deeper, sucked harder, and Sebastion’s release shot with heavy, thick ropes along his husband’s tongue. Luca swallowed it all down, licking and kissing until Sebastion couldn’t take the sensation. He pulled off, kissing his stomach before he tucked him back in—a gesture absent and sweet.
When he stood up straight, Sebastion curled his hands into the front of Luca’s t-shirt and pulled him in for a kiss, tasting himself on the man’s tongue.
“That was…”
Luca laughed and shook his head. “Mhm. It was.”
“Do you want me to take care of you?” He drifted his hands and cupped where Luca was still painfully hard.
“Later,” he said, leaning in to kiss his neck. “I want to fuck your thighs.”
Sebastion gave a shiver of want that made Luca’s grin turn a little feral. “That can be arranged.”
Luca gave him another peck, then stepped back and sighed. “I’m going to pour more wine. Can you do me a favor and grab the mail while I set the table? I totally forgot.”
Sebastion nodded, then hopped off the counter and ignored the faint wobble in his legs as he untucked his shirt and made sure there were no lingering spots in case a neighbor was out. The evening air was nice and cool against his still-heated skin, and he walked over the paving stones to the mailbox which felt good against his socked feet. The sun was setting over the horizon, and he took a moment to appreciate it before he gathered the stack of envelopes—most of which was probably for the former owner who had apparently not bothered to file the change of address form.
He felt good. Peaceful. Maybe even ready for whatever was supposed to come next. And maybe it would shake up their lives, but he no longer felt like it would shake them.
He caught a faint hint of garlic on the breeze from Luca’s dinner, and he smiled to himself as he headed back toward the house. In the low light, he thumbed through the bills—as he predicted most of them weren’t for them.
But he came to a skidding halt when he saw a familiar scrawl over a thick vellum envelope, and his hands began to tremble a little bit as his eyes narrowed in on the name heading the return address. Which wasn’t a name at all.
ATG
He wasn’t sure how long he stood there, but Luca found him shortly after, and he rushed to his side, taking Sebastion by one shoulder. “What is it?”
Sebastion looked up with wide eyes, then licked his lips. “We got a letter.”
The understanding in Luca’s eyes told Sebastion he didn’t need to explain who it was from. He just wasn’t sure if either of them were brave enough to read what it said.
Chapter Twenty
Dear Luca and Sebastion,
It took me a long time to write this. I have a feeling you already know what’s going on. I don’t think your friend realized I had no idea who you were at first. It was awkward. And I still don’t know how I feel.
I still don’t know if you know, Luca, but Sebastion—I think you do. It makes sense now, when I told you about the man with the phoenix tattoo. It was all over your face. I just didn’t know what it meant at the time.
That was the night my entire life changed, you know. It was the first time I ever felt fireworks, and it wasn’t with the man I went home with. I didn’t think I’d ever feel that again. And I’m not sure I’m allowed to be angry about it, because I didn’t even remember your face. I just remembered your smile—but in a sort of abstract way. And I remembered what you told me in the alley that
