probably needed for the wedding.

“What?”

“Girl, just because you gave up on your happily ever after, I didn’t. You were there when I needed to have some sense drilled into me. I can’t wait to see you in your gown.” She reached across the table that separated our seats and squeezed Jamie’s hand.

The day I’d been waiting for was finally here. It was like I hoped it would be, but I at least I had my girl ready to vow to be mine forever.

I stared at her, refusing to even give the officiant any attention. My eyes were for my bride who had on a sultry Grecian gown that flowed and yet hugged all the right places. I owed Mia because she had been my ally even when Jamie hated me.

A cough drew my attention. The officiant tilted his head, cocking his brow. “Well, Mr. Malcolm, do you take Jamie Marshall as your wife?”

“I most certainly do,” I said without a drop of hesitation in my voice. I’d eagerly awaited this one moment. Falling in love with Jamie had been the easiest thing I’d ever done even if getting to this point was difficult.

Jamie let out the smallest, sexiest giggle, tossing me a wink. I pulled her hand and dragged her to me, our bodies pressed together. “I love you.” I kissed her hard.

The man shook his head and blurted out in a rush. “Ms. Marshall, do you take Devin Malcolm as your husband?”

“I do,” she said. Smiling up at me, she whispered, “Forever.” I felt my cock flex against my trousers. We pulled back enough to slide on the rings. The weight of the ring on my hand slammed emotion through me, causing my heart to pound with profound happiness.

“I hereby pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.” Gliding my hand around her waist, I pulled her against me and bent her over. “I love you, Mrs. Malcolm.” I took her mouth in a kiss that would be sinful if in a real church. She mewled into my mouth, sliding her hands into my hair, deepening the kiss while grinding on my cock.

Ian coughed, and Mia cheered. “May I now present Mr. and Mrs. Devin Malcolm.”

I ran my hand across her waist, slipping it lower to cup her ass before I leaned in and whispered, “Did I tell you how beautiful you look?”

“No, but the look in your eyes says it all.”

“It will never be enough. You’re the most beautiful woman in the world and should be told all of the time.”

We walked out of the chapel to see my parents and hers. “Mom, Dad, what are you doing here?”

“Thanks for not inviting us, son.” My mother swatted my arm, then pulled Jamie into her arms. “So gorgeous. Thank you for taking him.”

I dragged my wife back to me. We’d been married for a whole minute before someone tried to take her from me. “I’m pretty sure I gave everyone two months to prepare, but not a soul took me seriously. We’re going to eat. You are welcome to come. If you can behave.”

“Devin, aren’t you going to introduce us to your wife?” Danny said, coming up from behind my parents.

“Danny, you too?”

“My love, this is my mother and father, Carol and Jack, and my infamous cousin, Danielle.”

“Everyone calls me Danny, though.” She squeezed Jamie, but I still held my wife close to my side.

“I wanted to say sorry about the picture,” her father said, stepping straight up to me.

Danny nodded and said, “Yes, we had a little talk on the flight here. You know that phrase, ‘the road to hell is paved with good intentions’ thing.”

“I had a lesson that I rather regret. And I already contacted the photographer who sent me the image. I swear I didn’t know it had been doctored.”

“You made my wife cry. You hurt her just to separate us.”

“No. It’s not because I didn’t want you together. I just didn’t trust a man she hardly knew. When the photographer sent me the photo, I couldn’t let her carry on moping. I had no idea that she would be truly devastated and that it was a lie. I thought it was true and I wanted to protect my daughter.”

“I’d have a swat team raid a guy’s house who wanted to date my daughter,” Ian said.

“What do you say, kitten?”

“I knew you meant well, even if I didn’t want to hear it. Can we all just start over?” She turned to me to
