Nokx (The Sraibur Crew #3) - Layla Nash Page 0,118
he immediately took her breast in his mouth. Her soft hands worked into his hair to hold him closer as her back arched.
When the first moan snuck out of her, all his urgency dissipated. He wanted to hear more from her. He wanted to wring every last drop of need and lust out of her before he satisfied himself. Nokx slid down the bed so he could move between her thighs, putting her shapely, strong legs over his shoulders. He gazed at her beautiful folds and the secrets they hid and didn’t know how he’d gotten so lucky. He could have laid there for hours, breathing her in and memorizing every perfect inch.
And then EJ’s head popped up to look down at him. “Well?”
Nokx laughed so hard he had to press his face against her thigh so he didn’t see the flustered, impatient look on her face. He would have called her a horny little marmox next, and there was no telling how she’d react.
He gripped her ass and lifted her to his mouth before she had the chance to keep talking, and EJ immediately moaned and flopped back onto the mattress. He smiled and hummed against her until her thighs twitched and rubbed against his shoulders. Her head tilted and exposed her vulnerable throat, the ultimate submission before him, and he groaned. He rubbed his palm against her breast until her nipple stood up from the friction. She gasped. Her hands slid along the sheets, clutched great fistfuls.
He teased her sensitive flesh with the very tip of his tongue, searching for every possible motion that had EJ bucking her hips or dragging her heels against his back and sides. A fine sheen of sweat covered her, made her glow. Perfumed the air around him along with the scent of her arousal until he grew drunk on her.
Her breath came in short little gasps as she tensed and wrapped her fingers through his hair, grinding her hips and jerking against his hold as he tightened his grip. Nokx growled and let it vibrate through her until she cried out. EJ froze in a glorious arch, her mouth open in a soundless cry. Her hips thrust slowly against him as she started to relax; he waited, savoring the way she used him to extend her pleasure.
When she went limp with a gusty sigh, Nokx wanted to preen. He’d pleased his mate, and she looked well-loved. He moved to his elbows but ran his hand along her outer thigh and hip, watching her face tighten and relax as she murmured and stretched.
He smiled. “And here I thought I would get the workout.”
“Your mouth did,” she said with a smile, her eyes still closed.
Nokx grumbled as he slid up her body to lay on his side next to her. He couldn’t stop touching her, long strokes that explored every curve and slope of her body. A marvel. Such a marvel that her species had survived to travel the stars. And even more marvelous that she was his.
Chapter 54
EJ saw stars. Fireworks. Meteors in the atmosphere. A supernova.
From the moment Nokx touched her, EJ felt perfect. For the first time in her life, she felt comfortable in her own skin, that she was enough. She was more than enough. He wanted her. He didn’t want who she pretended to be; he didn’t care where she came from or what she’d done.
Granted, a girl didn’t want a man to burst into laughter right after he put his head between her thighs, but since he laughed at her comment, she figured she’d let him get away with it. That time.
But maybe that was the difference: joy. Laughter. Something real, something true. He enjoyed her, he touched her like a precious gift. The energy behind the frantic fucking of their last times together remained but had mellowed into something even more intimate. She could sprawl in the bed with all the lights on and let him touch every inch of her body without worrying that he would find her lacking. As Nokx placed kisses down her arm from her shoulder to the tips of her fingers, EJ gazed at him and felt her heart swell. She needed two hearts, like the Xaravians, to contain all that.
“Thinking big thoughts,” Nokx murmured. He started a trail of kisses from her belly button to her breasts, smiling as he glanced at her.
That tendency to cowardice rose up again, and again she seized on some courage. Maybe it got easier with
