No Good Mitchell - Riley Hart Page 0,39

business. I’d been surprised when he’d come over and allowed me to look at it. We’d joked the night before about it, but teasing about getting your dick sucked was different from actually letting the enemy look at your books, especially when said enemy had admitted that their family had been money-laundering criminals. Not that getting head wasn’t pretty fucking important. I quite liked it and took it seriously, but yeah, I hadn’t expected him to be so open. Knowing what I did about his family, this wasn’t a small thing. Big Daddy would freak the fuck out. Brody had taken a risk. I’d work my ass off to do right by him.

“It’s pretty bad, isn’t it?” he asked after I went over some ideas and a game plan with him.

I sighed. I respected Brody too much to bullshit him, to sugarcoat it, because somehow I knew that if the situation were reversed, he would do the same for me. I didn’t want to be treated with kid gloves, and I couldn’t imagine he did either. “Yeah. It’s definitely not good.”

“Shit.” Brody dropped his head back, looking at the ceiling. His throat worked as he swallowed, then looked over at me. “Thanks for being honest.”

“It’s all part of my evil plan. That’s how we Mitchells are. I’ve got you in my trap now.”

He grinned, cocked a brow at me. “What are you going to do with me now that I’m here?”

A flash of different scenes played in my head: Brody on his knees for me, looking up at me with my dick in his mouth. Bent over this desk, and me being the first man to have a go at his ass. Driving him wild with my mouth because last time I sucked him, I didn’t get to swallow his load, and I was all about the reward of sucking cock…

“Ooh, must be good,” Brody said, breaking through my thoughts. “You gonna tell me?”

“I don’t think I will. I’m going to make you suffer for a little while first.”

He chuckled. “Oh, fuck you.”

“Fuck you? I’d like to, yeah.” I saw him tremble, but I wasn’t sure if he noticed it. Brody recovered quickly and rolled his eyes, but I could tell I got to him. Was that something he thought about?

“Whatever. You city boys are cocky.”

“And you country boys aren’t?” I cocked a brow, then forced myself to get serious. “I know it’s hard not to think about what it would be like to see me naked, but I want you to know we’re gonna fix this. I’m gonna help you fix this.” The possessiveness in my tone didn’t escape me. I wanted to do some good, something that was right. I wanted to be the one to help Brody out of this mess, as if that would help absolve my family of their sins. And maybe because I liked the big, sexy country boy. “I think if you can get Big Daddy to start putting some of the ideas I gave you into action, it’ll help. I’ve got Isaac working on some PR stuff for you guys too. And let’s face it, we could also play off this rival distillery thing in a public, carefully controlled way—Mitchell Creek and O’Ralley Whatever, coming together? I have some thoughts brewing, but I think we could do something with it that’ll bring attention our way.” I liked the possibility of working with Brody. Maybe I shouldn’t. I’d already had one friend use me, but something about Brody…I couldn’t even put it to words, but I knew he wouldn’t do that. He was honest, and he’d fight like hell for me. Maybe I’d realize one day that I was wrong, but I didn’t think so. With Teddy, I’d had a bad feeling but hadn’t trusted my gut. It wasn’t the same with Brody.

“Big Daddy would lose his shit if I brought that up.”

“Then Big Daddy just might lose his distillery. I’m not the rest of my family. I’m not Arthur or Bobby Mitchell.” I hated that they’d been dirty, that they spent years using Mitchell Creek for illegal activity. That my dad had been forced to send Mom away to protect us. That my family possibly stole from Brody’s. But my dad had changed that, and I sure as shit intended to keep his work going and do some good with what I’d been given.

“I don’t want to talk about work shit anymore.” His voice was husky and rough. I tried not to
