A Monster's Beauty (In the Arms of Monsters #3) - Sam Crescent Page 0,47

feelings for Preacher? It wasn’t easy for me. I didn’t know what to do and you nearly had me killed to be a hero. A good man doesn’t hurt the woman he loves just so she can fall in love with him. I can’t … I won’t…”

“Robin, please,” he said.

“No, don’t talk. Don’t even try to tell me anything. I don’t want to hear you. I don’t want to even acknowledge you. I hate you more than anything right now.” She held Bethany close to her.

“I’m her dad. You can’t take that away.”

“No, she doesn’t have a father,” Robin said. “You will never be good enough to be her father.”

She felt sick. “Preacher, would you please drive me back to Anne’s?”

After dropping Robin and Bethany back with Anne, Preacher drove back to where he’d left Reaper. He didn’t tell Robin about what he had planned. He had to wonder if she even knew what he was going to do or if she wasn’t thinking that far ahead. Either way, Reaper would be taking his last breath.

Parking his car, he saw Dog sitting on the porch steps, smoking a cigarette.

“You know those are going to kill you,” Preacher said, climbing out of his car. His cell phone rang and he accepted Bear’s call.

“They’re dead,” Bear said.

“Burn the bodies and bring it to the ground. I want Slaves of the Beast to be nothing more than a faded memory.” He ended the call and looked at Dog. “Did he do anything?”

“Nope. I may have gotten a little handsy with the knife, but I didn’t think you’d mind me playing slash with him.”

Preacher didn’t ask any more questions. He walked in to find Reaper still tied to a chair. His face was covered in blood and his body had lines from the knife. It had torn through fabric and flesh.

Preacher grabbed another chair and pulled it close.

“Your men are dead,” he said. “Every single little piece of scum. They’re all gone.”

“You can’t kill out the name. You can try, but you’ll always fail, Preach. You don’t have it in you. There will always be Bethany.”

“This guy is a piece of work,” Dog said.

“Yeah, he doesn’t seem to get that he lost.”

“I didn’t lose. You kill me, then what are you going to tell Bethany?” Reaper asked. “She’s my flesh and blood, and no matter what I did, you can’t wipe me out.”

Preacher smiled. “Actually, she’s at the age no one remembers. You see, Reaper, your little girl is going to call me daddy. I’m going to raise her like she was my own. She’ll be a Twisted Monsters MC brat, and you won’t even be a memory. You’ll be nothing.”

“She won’t let you do that. Robin won’t let you.”

“You sent your boys to hurt her. You didn’t play out your daring rescue. There’s no way she will ever trust you again. You’re finished. The moment you set your plan in motion, you lost her, and we both know you never had her, not truly. She’s just a means to an end for you, but now you’ve lost her.”

“You’re not going to do this. She loved me. She told me so.”

“You took her from me. You raped her, beat her, and tried to make her fall in love with you. You failed at all of them. Robin is mine. She will always be mine and there’s no way I will ever let you take her from me.” Preacher slammed his fist into Reaper’s face.

“She’ll know you killed me.”

“I don’t care. I don’t take orders from a woman. I’m doing this for Robin and after what you did, there’s no way you deserve to walk on this earth.” He continued to slam his fist into Reaper’s face. When he was worried he’d pass out, he asked Dog for a knife. The first piece he took from him was the cock that he’d used to impregnate Robin. He tore it off his body, and in front of him, cut it into pieces so there was no chance of ever using it again. Not that Reaper was making it out of this house alive. No, Preacher wasn’t taking that chance.

It was all over for him and he wasn’t going to allow him to get away, or to live, or to have anything. He was dead. Cold fucking dead.

With his dick gone, he took his fingers. Piece by piece, he took from Reaper until he was screaming, begging, and asking for forgiveness. Preacher didn’t grant it. He took
