in whatever she wanted to say and to her credit she did.

“I think that’s my cue. Good night you two,” she said, and disappeared into the bathroom.

Major put down his bag and came over to me.

“Are you sure this is okay? I mean me staying here.”

“Yeah, of course, it’s okay.”

“You’re cheeks tell me something different than your mouth does.”

“I guess I hadn’t really thought about you spending the night, and when I realized that, I thought back to the truck earlier.”

I think I surprised him a little, because his one eyebrow went up and he grinned at me. Then he leaned in close to me.

“I’ve been thinking about that all day,” he whispered.

My heart started beating a little faster and I sucked in a breath. I wasn’t ready to have sex with him, but I really did want to see if he could make me come again or if the first time was a fluke. That thought sobered me and I stepped back from him.

“What’d I say wrong?” he asked.

“Nothing. It’s just me.”

“Too fast?”

“No, but I just had a thought. If we were to actually have sex can we still be friends? Your friendship is really important to me Major.”

“Believe it or not our friendship is important to me too. I’ll make you a deal. We can try anything sexual you want and if you think it’s going to change things tell me to stop and I will. I don’t want to lose what we have.”

“Okay, deal.” When I said those words I got a little nervous. I was nervous about things changing but I was more nervous about the thought of him not being able to make me come again. What if there was something wrong with me? Maybe I was the reason I’d never had an orgasm while having sex. Maybe the sex was great and I was bad at it.

“Kayleigh, stop.”

“Huh?”

“I can see a million thoughts running through your head. Tell me what you’re thinking about.”

“I don’t want to. It’s embarrassing.”

“Now you really have to tell me,” he said smiling at me.

I debated on it for a minute and decided to tell him. We’d promised to be honest with each other so it was time for me to live up to that.

“I was wondering if the reason I never came during sex with my ex, is because I’m bad at sex.”

“I don’t believe that for a second,” he told me. “First of all, you can make me hard with just a few words or a sound. Second of all, even if you were bad at sex you can get better.”

As had become normal his words had me feeling better. “Thanks.” I wanted to say more, but I didn’t want to sound stupid so I left it simple.

“Now,” he said, “Where can I put these?” He held up his bags effectively changing the subject.

“I guess over here,” I said, pointing to the floor beside the couch.

He set the bags down. I heard the bathroom door open and saw Karma trying to sneak to her room. Our place wasn’t big enough to not notice someone coming and going. I smiled at her effort, and got a little wave from her as she closed her bedroom door.

“Would it be ok if I take a quick shower?” Major asked me.

“Sure.”

I gave him a towel and showed him where everything was. I left him to his shower. After leaving a pillow and a blanket on the couch I went to my room. Changing into my sleep shorts and t-shirt had me looking at the clock. It was after 10:00 and I was ready for bed, it had been a long day.

I made sure my alarm was set and wondered if Major remembered that I had to be at the pool at 6:00 in the morning. I figured I’d better remind him so I left my room to see if he was still in the shower. The bathroom door was still closed but I didn’t hear the water running so I knocked.

The sight that greeted me when he opened the door left me speechless for a moment. Major stood there in only the towel and I could see little drops of water on his chest.

He grinned at me. “Can I help you with something?”

“I … uh … yeah. I wanted to remind you that I have to be at practice at 6:00 in the morning,” I finally managed to say.

“I remember,” he said, still grinning at me.

“There’s also a pillow and blanket on
