know shows herself. You can be a little spitfire when you want to be.”

She was right about that. We finished our coffees and headed back to the dorm. Travis called her and asked to take her for dinner first, so she was in a bit of a panic to get ready. Karma always looked good, but she mentioned she had to shave her lady bits in preparation for the night.

An hour after we got home, she was ready for her date. Travis was a lucky guy.

“Gorgeous as always,” I told her.

“What are you going to do tonight?” she asked me.

“Hanging out in my PJ’s. Maybe watch a movie or read. I’m sure I have homework to do, but I don’t think I can bring myself to do that on a Saturday night.”

“And, you’re going to try out your new friend, right?” she said with a smirk.

“Maybe, we’ll see.”

“I think you’ll be surprised with the result.” Her phone dinged and she checked it. “Gotta go. See you later.”

“Have fun.”

I was deciding what to have for dinner, when there was a knock on the door. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out who it might be. I opened the door to find Wes standing there with a pizza.

“Uh, hi,” I said.

“Have you eaten dinner yet?”

“No.”

“Can I interest you in some pizza?”

“Sure, come in.”

We’d had lunch three times this week, and run into each other a couple of times since we lived in the same dorm.

“Want to watch a movie?” I asked, as I grabbed us each a paper plate.

“Yeah, whatcha got?”

“Netflix, so it’s your choice.”

“Cool.” He grabbed the remote for the TV.

“Oh wait, we’ll have to use my laptop.”

“That’s a smart TV, so we can hook up your account to it.”

“Oh. I’m not very good with electronics.”

“No problem. I’ll set it up for you.”

Wes pressed a few buttons and there was Netflix on the TV.

“This is much better than having to watch everything on my laptop.”

“Glad to be of service,” he said smiling.

It turned out to be a very comfortable evening. Wes had picked one of the Mission Impossible movies and he finished off most of the pizza. When the movie was done, he left. I decided to have a relaxing bubble bath. I was super grateful that these dorm rooms each had their own bathroom, and we weren’t sharing with thirty other women.

I ran the water and sank into the bubbles. I opened my newest playlist on my phone, and leaned my head back to relax. I was three songs in, when I heard my text alert. I’d left my phone close for my music, but my hands were wet. The only thing I could reach was a washcloth, so I dried my hands on that and checked my phone.

I was expecting it to be Nana or Karma, and was surprised when I saw it was Major.

Major: What are you doing?

Me: Having a bath

Major: Are you telling me you’re in the bath right now?

Me: Yes

I giggled to myself. It probably wasn’t fair to tell him I was naked and texting him.

Major: Stay right where you are. I’ll be right over to help.

That made me laugh.

Me: I think I can manage

Major: Are you sure?

Me: Positive

Major: Your loss

Major: What are you doing after your bath?

Me: I was going to put on my PJ’s and read

Major: Change of plans. Get dressed. I’ll be out front in 30 minutes.

Me: And if I refuse?

Major: I’ll find my way into the building and figure out which is your room

Me: Stalker much?

Major: Nah, I’m just bored

Me: Fine

I finished my bath and shaved my legs and underarms. No one was going to be looking at my lady bits, so I didn’t worry about that tonight. I put my hair in a messy bun, threw on some yoga pants, and a t-shirt. I found my flip flops and grabbed a hoodie. This was as ready as I was going to get.

He was waiting outside when I finally got downstairs.

“Ready?” he asked.

“I guess.”

“Then let’s go,” Major said with a grin.

Chapter 16

Major

I liked the fact that Kayleigh hadn’t dressed up. I wasn’t kidding when I said I liked her ass in her yoga pants. We walked to my truck in silence. I wondered what she was thinking and why she agreed to come with me. We got in and I started driving.

“Where are we going?” she asked.

“Somewhere cool,” I told her.

“That doesn’t tell me much.”

“It’s not supposed to,” I said smiling.

“Whatever. So, why aren’t you out with your friends tonight?”
