Marked (Primal Obsessions #2) - Cara Wylde Page 0,56
Say that you’re happy, or… or ask me if they’re yours,” she laughed louder, trying to make a joke.
But I was in no mood for jokes. This was serious. This was the future we were talking about. Our future.
“Thank you for staying, Rosalie. Thank you for existing, for being you, for… running away only to find us. We were lost before you came into our lives, and now… look at us. We’re a family. We’re together, united, and we have a common goal: to make you and the cubs you’re going to give us happy.”
She sniffed. She hadn’t cried in a while, and it was weird to see her cry again. She pulled away and grabbed a napkin to dab at her eyes.
“That sounds like a plan,” she said.
“Want to hear another plan?”
“Your plans seem to be great, so yes.”
I turned to Colt and Lincoln. “Let’s build a house. I know we’ve lived in trailer parks all our lives, but we can do this. It’s time.”
Lincoln nodded. “I was getting tired of being a nomad, anyway.”
“Nomad for life,” Colt said. When I glared at him, he laughed. “Just kidding. Jesus! Okay, I’m in. Let’s build a house.”
“For real?” She was legit crying now. Milo sensed something was happening, and he started clinging to her skirt. She lifted him up, but I immediately took him from her. He was heavy, and in her condition, I didn’t want her to carry him anymore. He was a big boy. “You’re going to build a house for me?”
“Yes, Rosalie. Anything for you. If you want it, that is…”
“I do. I want a house, yes. Please build me a house.”
I grinned from ear to ear. “Done.”

About the Author
Cara loves to write about strong, feisty women and their hot Alphas who will do anything to make them happy. Her books are filled with romance and just a dash of mystery, suspense, and that eerie atmosphere she fell in love with reading too many gothic novels. With a master’s degree in Comparative Literature, she can’t help but play with tropes and themes from various genres, trying to come up with fresh perspectives on the paranormal characters her readers love so much. Vampires, shape-shifters, demons, witches… Cara will always make sure they get their own twists.
Dahlia Briar spends her time enjoying her two big passions: writing and baking. She graduated from university with a degree in linguistics and then attended culinary school. Since then, she has been immersed in love stories from every angle; from her cake shop customers whom she delights with sweet treats, now to readers whom she wants to entertain with steamy, hot, messy and passionate love stories. She likes to write complex and relatable characters, often sprinkled with a bit of paranormal magic dust (okay, sometimes a lot of it!).
