She found the same app she used to get books and Matteo gave her a debit card to use to open an account to order books with. She bought quite a few at once and downloaded them to her phone. It would be hard to say when they’d find new SIM cards and get them set up in Mexico so she did it all now.

The only numbers on the phone were his and Anton’s but that was fine for now. She didn’t want to talk to anyone else anyway.

“You doing alright, babe?” he asked as he prodded at the laptop Anton brought to him. He was using a VPN to access the files he needed to get some work done, things he had to approve for his many businesses, and some stuff for the family business. He’d also contacted a lawyer while they were gone and had set it up so that Trina would be the one to take over when he left the country.

“I’m fine, honey.” She was trying to get one of the books to open but it wouldn’t. She deleted it, then downloaded it again. It opened then and she sighed in satisfaction. “There we go.”

“What was wrong?” he asked, absently.

“Nothing, my book didn’t want to open, and I had to delete it and download it again.”

“Ah, that old chestnut, huh? I hate it when you open it and the files are messed up. It’s the same thing, though, delete it and download it again. It’s a pain, but that’s technology.”

“Mmhmm,” she murmured as an idea occurred to her. He looked so cute over there, his face so intent. There was a hot-tub in this room too, so she decided maybe it was time for some of her husband’s attention.

“Matteo?” She took off her dress, her sandals were already in a corner of the room with their other purchases, and removed her underwear.

“What are you doing now?” She leaned over the tub, completely naked now, and turned the water on.

“Just some work, babe, be right with you.” He didn’t look up, and she got into the tub with a quiet smile and waited.

The sun had gone down an hour ago and the room was softly lit with only the light on the nightstand to chase the darkness away. When she turned the jets on, his head turned to look at her. She’d settled into the tub with only her breasts and upper torso out of the water. The water began to swirl around her and bubbles started to form.

“Oh,” she heard him say as his eyes narrowed with hunger.

“Yes, I thought you might notice eventually.” A grin twitched at her lips as he stood and pulled off the new t-shirt and pushed away from the shorts she’d bought him. She’d never seen him in shorts, but she liked it. He had thick calves and strong thighs that looked great.

“I have, indeed, noticed.” He slid into the other end of the large tub and let the hot swirling water relax his muscles. “This was a really good idea.”
