She pulls back just enough to give me a wink. “And I think there are two certain neighbors who will want to know the good news, too.”

The selflessness of my own sister causes me to weep. “I would have given them up before giving you up,” I say.

She swings her arms around me. “I know, but now you don’t have to, and with four days before Christmas, it’s my present to you.”

Ro’s Mercedes is next to mine as I cross the icy street. I’m not surprised. And with Whit and I parting ways after the verdict, I’m lost. I’m happy. My sister is still with me, and we’ll build memories together, but the two people I want to share everything with weren’t with me. But they are here, and as many times as I’ve pushed them away, they never let me make the worst decision of my life. Letting them go would haunt me forever.

“Well, this seems eerily familiar,” I say, “being I met you in a parking lot. However, there’s an extra stalker with you today,” I casually mention, a smile on my face. But they aren’t smiling because they understand my connection with my sister.

Knox stops me as he pulls my hand and kisses it. “You’re in a hundred percent?”

“I’m in as long as I’m between you two, I’m in, always.”

Ro pulls me into him. “How fast can you get home, baby?” The heat in his eyes tells me what he wants, what he needs.

I don’t have to look at Knox to feel his reaction that pokes into the side of my body. “Yeah, little toy maker, we need you.” His voice next to my ear sends shivers up and down me.

“I’ll follow you.” I slide into my Corvette, and we both peel out of the parking lot because we all have one thing on our minds. I need them, but more so, I have to prove to them how they are an absolute necessity in my life.

We’re in my bedroom, and as soon as we’re through the door, my dress is unzipped by one of the men’s hands, Knox, has shed every bit of his clothing, and Ro stands next to him, only in a pair of boxers. My slip is pulled up over my head, and in Ro’s arms, he pulls me up enough to throw me on the bed. I love this quick, forceful, and frenzied moment together.

“Baby, I can’t be slow and gentle.” Ro, who is the more calm and methodical lover, has a rage swirling in his eyes as they dart from me to Knox. But it’s not anger. It’s lust and love combined, and his target is yours truly.
