Logan (Dad Bod Doms #1) - Golden Angel Page 0,42
penguins, penguins,” she sang under her breath as they walked into the Aviary. Logan chuckled.
“Do you want to go see the penguins right away or save them for the end?”
“They’re right in the center,” she said, grinning up at him and giving his hand a little squeeze. She’d poured over the map on her phone at lunch. “We can start with them, head over to the rainforest and Canary’s Call, then go back to them before circling around to see the eagles, the grasslands, and the wetlands, and end with them!”
“Is that going to be enough penguins?” he asked, deadpan.
Felicity poked him in the side. “No.”
It wasn’t. There could never be enough penguins. But it was still wonderful.
The Aviary was everything she’d hoped it would be and was all the more special because Logan let her spend as much time in each exhibit as she wanted, even as the day started to come to an end. She cooed over the penguins every time they walked past. Logan liked the grasslands the best but didn’t mind her penguin obsession and even bought her a pair of cute little penguin earrings at the gift shop while she was in the bathroom. Grinning, Felicity put them on. They finished out their tour with one last look at the penguins, even though they needed to get moving if they were going to get to their dinner reservation on time.
“Thank you,” she said when they got in the cab back to the hotel, their hands still entwined. She leaned her head against his shoulder. “It was a wonderful day.”
“Day’s not over yet, sweetheart.” Logan pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “I think we can make it even better.”
“Oh, yeah?” she teased. “You think you can beat penguins?”
“I think I can beat you,” he muttered, low enough the cab driver didn’t hear.
Felicity cracked up.
He was probably going to take it out on her ass later, but… worth it.
Chapter Eleven
Logan
Watching Felicity trying to concentrate on her menu, Logan smiled as he pushed the button on the remote in his jacket pocket. Her lips parted, her eyes squeezed shut, and she sucked in a deep breath that made her breasts heave. When he pushed the button again, she let out the breath with a shudder, then opened her eyes, fixing him with a deadly glare.
Oh, yes, the remote-controlled vibrating panties he’d bought her as a surprise had been worth every penny.
He’d actually considered putting them on her earlier in the day but ultimately decided against it. The day had been about rebuilding their marriage. Tonight was about rebuilding their sex life. Or, continuing to rebuild it.
Dinner was a kind of middle ground between the two, which was why he’d decided on the vibrating panties. This way, he could tease her but could also turn the remote off and focus on their conversation as he wanted. What he hadn’t planned on was how much fun it would be to have the power to make her pant without even touching her.
These panties would be going on more dates with them in the future. Spice up movie night. Maybe even a few walks.
If she didn’t kill him first.
“What are you thinking about getting?” Logan asked innocently, pretending he hadn’t just spent the better part of ten minutes, playing with the remote switch. He would be good and let her get through ordering her dinner before he turned it on again.
Not that he’d tell her that.
Keeping her on tenterhooks was much more fun.
Felicity pressed her lips together, then managed to compose herself, although there was still a hint of glare in her eyes.
“I was thinking the crab toast and Chilean Sea Bass,” she said, her voice only a little tenser than usual.
“Sounds good,” he lied, and Felicity smirked at him. Logan never really had a taste for seafood. “I’ll probably get the pork chop or the ribeye.”
“Those both looked good, too…”
“But you want something you won’t get at home.” He finished the sentence for her, amused at how predictable they both were. Logan liked his comfort food, even at restaurants, while Felicity liked to take advantage of eating something different than what they made at home and not being constrained by Logan’s pickier preferences. She was, admittedly, the more adventurous eater.
“Exactly.”
They grinned at each other in a moment of accord when the server appeared at the end of their table, smiling brightly.
“Are you ready to order, or would you like another minute?” he asked.
“I think we’re ready,” Logan answered,
