Logan (Dad Bod Doms #1) - Golden Angel Page 0,24

waistband would still fit, and corsets always looked good. It wouldn’t matter that she was a little bigger, her boobs would just look even more amazing. She wouldn’t want to wear a corset two nights in a row, so she picked up a black silk teddy that came down to midthigh but had cutouts on the skirt with sheer inserts that went up to her waist. If she spun around, people would be given a peekaboo show. She paired both outfits with some very high heels she hadn’t worn in ages and thigh-high stockings.

“Done!” She zipped the suitcase shut victoriously.

“Mmm, we should celebrate,” Logan said, coming up behind her again and putting his hands on her shoulders. Turning her around, he was lowering his lips to hers when Althea’s voice screeched out from the monitor.

“Mommy! Mooooommy! I need potty! It’s poop!”

Sighing, Logan pressed his forehead to Felicity’s.

“It’s like she has a built-in radar.”

“Didn’t you know?” Felicity asked, laughing as she extricated herself from his arms. Oliver’s sleepy voice piped up, complaining about all the noise Althea was making. “All kids do. That’s why we’re going away for the weekend.” She winked at him.

Really, the kids didn’t interrupt them all the time, but they did seem to have an uncanny ability to wake up right when Logan and Felicity were getting intimate. At least this time, it happened before things escalated.

Shaking off her burgeoning arousal, Felicity switched into mommy mode. There’d be time enough for the former this weekend.

Chapter Six

Logan

After checking into the hotel and finding their room, Felicity called Trish and Marie to check-in while Logan started unpacking. He was somewhat bemused by how anxious Felicity had become about how the kids would handle them being away for the weekend. She’d started off the drive pretty relaxed but had wound herself up to a bundle of nerves by the time they’d arrived.

It wasn’t the worst thing in the world if he could transmute some of that nervous energy into a scene tonight, but he hoped she was reassured by talking to the kids. From the sound of it, they were more interested in playing with their aunts than talking to their mom’s disembodied voice.

“Okay, baby, have fun and be good for your aunts. I love you… bye—” Frowning, Felicity pulled the phone away from her ear and shook her head. “He just hung up on me.”

Logan laughed. “I guess that means they’re having fun.”

“Yeah.” She made a face. “It would be nice to know we’re missed just a bit, though.”

“I’m sure they’ll get there. We’ve only been gone a few hours. Just wait until bedtime tonight.”

While they’d told Oliver and Althea over and over again, they were spending the weekend with just Aunt Marie and Aunt Trish, Logan wasn’t really sure the kids understood. He figured this first afternoon would probably be the easiest.

“You’re probably right.” Felicity sighed, tossing the phone on the bed. She turned toward him, cocking her head, eyes sparkling. “Might as well enjoy our time away. What are we doing first?”

Logan held out his hand, and she put hers into it so he could slowly pull her toward him.

“First, I thought we could… go for a walk.” He dropped a kiss on her forehead, not her lips as she was obviously expecting, and straightened up, hiding his smile at her confused expression.

“A walk?”

“Yup. Your shoes are still on, my shoes are still on… let’s go for a walk.”

Bemused, Felicity grabbed her purse, tucking her phone into it, before Logan pulled her to the door by her hand. This weekend away wasn’t only an excuse to have as much sex as possible—although he planned on doing that, too. He wanted to have as much of a vacation with her as they could while they were here, which meant doing couple-y things.

Even though they only lived about two hours away from Pittsburgh and had come to the city multiple times, they never really did the tourist-y thing. There were a lot of interesting bars and restaurants they’d always talked about checking out but never had, and Felicity had always wanted to visit the National Aviary, but somehow, they’d never had time on previous trips. That was for tomorrow, though.

Today, he figured they could walk up an appetite, get something to eat, then call the kids to say goodnight before they got ready for their night. Plus, he could direct their walk in the direction of The Outlands, so he could get the lay of the area before dark.
