to play. And I help manage his day-to-day life…so I don’t know?” I shrugged. “I have no idea what I’d call us, but we’ve made it clear that neither of us will be seeing anyone else.”

Destin giggled. “You know you sound like you’re married, right? You’re bossy and manage the house and you guys don’t have sex. Sounds like every marriage I’ve seen on TV and in real life.”

Good lord.

“Destin.” I couldn’t think of anything else to say…and that just made him giggle even more.

Ray coughed a few times but did his best not to give in to the nut’s excitement. “Being Morgan’s Daddy is a significant relationship in general. You don’t have to add anything more specific if what you have works for you. And as for your original question, I would suggest sitting down and going through a list of kinks and items together.”

“What do you mean?” Ray was easier to focus on than Destin.

“You can find a list online or even make one yourself, but it has a ton of different things on there and you each get a copy.” Destin started to squirm as Ray spoke, but he was doing his best to stay quiet.

“You mark off things you are okay with trying, things you’re hesitant on but maybe, and then things that are not for you. Then you compare your lists.” He made it sounds so simple.

“After that, as the Dom, you’re generally the one who sets the tone and decides when to pick items off your shared list of the things you’ve both green lit.” Ray shrugged as he spoke, giving me an expression that said he knew it wasn’t easy.

That was the part that I had the most questions on. “So what you’re saying is that more communication is needed and then I have to wing it?”

Destin giggled again. “But more confidently than that. He can’t know you’re winging it.”

Lovely.

Ray chuckled but nodded. “Basically.”

Destin shifted and stared up at Ray. “But you don’t have to wing it because you’re the best Daddy ever and you know everything.”

“You have to be the best ass kisser in the entire state.” My dry, somewhat dirty words had Destin laughing and nodding excitedly.

Ray was grinning like he found the entire thing fabulously entertaining. “There are different ways for Morgan to share with you what he’s ready for if you want things more laid out and orderly, but from the way you talk about him, I think you should talk and trust yourself.”

“You really like him.” Destin’s smile was less teasing imp and more loving friend. “I think you see him as a boyfriend, or maybe even something more, but you don’t know how to show it or tell him.”

I hated it when he was reasonable.

“Honestly, dating in the past has been terribly frustrating and my relationship with Morgan isn’t like that at all.” I shrugged, wishing they understood how hard it was. “So really, I’m not sure if we’re dating at all, and if we aren’t, I’m not sure I want to and then fuck everything up.”

Ray shook his head. “You can’t compare this relationship to a vanilla dating one. There’s no comparison on so many levels.”

I gave a dry chuckle. “Now that I can understand.”

He smiled. “But seriously, you have to look at this as something totally different. You’re his Daddy and that will mean more to him than any regular date will. You’re the man who makes him feel safe and relaxed and, on some basic level, loved. That’s more important than taking him out and expecting some kind of kiss at the door.”

Or more, based on what I’d seen from dates.

Ray ignored Destin’s giggle. “If you want to explore adding a more romantic side to your relationship as well, I say go for it. Everything I’ve heard and seen tells me that you guys have something unexpected but special. Just don’t expect it to fall apart because you take a step into something new. Look at how great everything has turned out so far.”

He might’ve had a point there.

“I’m not used to relationships going, well…anywhere.” Then I smiled. “Except for with Destin, but he’s special.”

Destin snorted. “Damned right I’m special.”

Ray barked out a laugh. “You’re also going to be punished if you keep cursing.”

Destin wiggled like that was the best idea he’d heard all day. “Yes, Daddy. I’m sorry.”

I looked between them. “That’s not exactly something he’s afraid of. Spankings are an event that he looks forward to, right? I know that’s personal, but
