tautness of his body, he wasn’t too far behind either.

As though sensing Jacob’s rapid thoughts, Levi’s hips bucked up against him. Warmth pooled between them as Levi came, crying out as his body went rigid. Jacob caught his lips again, giving his hips a few more staggered jerks. It was all he needed as Levi’s moans were muffled against his lips, and his warm body pressed against Jacob. He added his own warmth between them with a stifled groan, cock throbbing against Levi’s hips as he came hard.

They were left panting, with Levi limp beneath him, chest heaving, and Jacob holding himself up with the last of his strength. Their eyes met once they caught their breath, and Levi grinned up at him. It was filled with such pleasure and relief, and Jacob felt his chest twist at the sight of it.

God, he was lying to this man. This good man.

“I think we might need a shower before we do anything else,” Levi chuckled, looking down at their waists.

“I’ll turn the pizza down if you get the shower going,” Jacob offered. It wasn’t as if they hadn’t already seen each other naked, or close enough anyway.

Levi pushed himself up, gently pressing their lips together. “Deal.”

In any other circumstance, Jacob would have been telling himself it was far too early to be getting butterflies with someone. They barely knew one another, and just the sight of Levi wobbling a little, a goofy smile on his face as he stepped into the bathroom, shouldn’t be enough to make him feel a little woozy and lightheaded. But as it was, he was living a lie, and he was drawing Levi closer to him when he should have done the right thing and kept him at a distance.

“You gonna turn that pizza down?” Levi asked over the sudden sound of running water.

Jacob shook himself, pushing to his feet. “Yeah yeah. I think I liked you better when you were gasping for more while pinned under me.”

That earned him a wet washcloth thrown at his head as he passed the bathroom and a cackle from Levi at Jacob’s indignant squawk.

Hours later, he found his guilt to be the furthest thing from his mind. Their shower had taken twice as long as it probably should have, and they’d only been chased out when the timer for the oven had gone off. They’d been so busy soaping each other up, with Levi particularly obsessed with making sure every square inch of Jacob’s arms were clean, that they hadn’t noticed the time pass. Jacob had laughed at the sight of a naked, soaking wet Levi sprint out of the bathroom to save the pizza before it burned.

Clad only in lounge pants, they had curled up in the living room with their pizza and a beer each. The awkwardness between them had disappeared, melted by the heat of their shared moment in the bedroom. They had sat easily on the loveseat together, watching a terrible action flick and eating their pizza.

Jacob had managed to get through two of the beers and most of the first movie before he’d felt himself start to doze off. Leaning against the arm of the loveseat, he felt his eyelids growing heavy and realized he’d lost the, admittedly threadbare, movie plot.

He would have sworn he’d only closed his eyes for a minute. There had been the movie, and then his eyes opened, and it was pitch black outside. A different movie was on, and Levi was no longer leaning against the back of the loveseat. Instead, the other man was sprawled against Jacob, having curled up between his legs and the loveseat like a nest.

Chuckling, Jacob found the remote and turned the TV off. He had no idea where the remote for the Blu-Ray was, but it didn’t matter so long as the TV was off. He was also sure that both of their backs were going to hate them for curling up on the loveseat together, he laid his head back down. It took him a moment to doze off again, and he listened to the steady sound of Levi’s breathing as they lay in the dark together.

The next thing he was aware of, he was sitting upright, his body in motion before his mind knew what was happening. He could tell from the moonlight outside that time had passed since the last time he’d been awake, but he had no idea how much. Jacob also didn’t know why his body was on
