Keeping Time (Steelwolf #2) - Stephanie Kay Page 0,99

eight minutes to make out before you have to leave. And then I’m all yours for the weekend.”

She licked her lips, and I groaned.

“Dammit. That’s not enough time for what I want to do to you.”

Fuck. I wanted to lock the door, rip off our clothes, and forget about the world and the screaming fans out front. But there would be plenty of time for that tonight. And tomorrow. And after our second show tomorrow night. I was so fucking grateful that she’d come to me. It said so much about where she was—about where we were.

And I was so damn happy that I didn’t have to make a quick overnight trip home to see her first.

“Why are you thinking instead of kissing me?” she asked.

I chuckled. “Yes, let’s not waste any more time.”

I put my hands on her hips and lifted her, and she immediately wrapped her legs around my waist. I pressed her against the wall and gave into the kiss, letting her consume me just as I’d consumed her. Our tongues tangled and I swallowed her soft moan. She rocked her body against mine and my cock hardened.

There was a fervent need swirling between us as I licked the inside of her mouth and she tangled her hands in my hair, gripping my scalp and making me press harder against her, my cock against her heat.

“Knock. Knock. Housekeeping,” Jax’s high-pitched voice carried through the door.

I broke the kiss for a second. “Do not disturb,” I yelled back. Then I was kissing her again, but this time it was light, teasing, pure happiness as we nipped at each other. The promise of tonight simmered, but we both knew that Jax wouldn’t wait much longer and neither would our fans.

“I love you, Evie,” I said, my forehead pressed against hers.

“I love you so much, Tristan.”

She paused, smiling up at me, her cheeks pink, her breathing as unsteady as mine. What just one kiss could do to you when it was with the right person.

Then the banging started, and I sighed. “He is such a pain in the ass.”

She laughed. “Yes, but he’s an excellent lead singer.”

“I knew you had the hots for Jax,” I teased.

“Evie, bad form,” Jax yelled through the door.

“Stop listening to them, Ellie. God, you’re the worst,” Charlie said, her voice muffled through the door.

“I’m sending him out,” Evie called back. “And I only have the hots for you. Seriously, you in this rocker gear,” she said, fanning her face with her hand.

“Damn right. You remember that,” I growled, before I gave her a searingly hot kiss.

“Okay. We have to stop or I’m going to rip your clothes off,” she said, color high in her cheeks.

“You’re going to stand on my side of the stage so I can swoop in and kiss you any time I want, right?”

“Obviously. I’ll be the one screaming your name.”

“Feel free to save your screaming for the hotel room.”

“Fuck, MB. Now I need a cigarette,” Jax said when I opened the door. “So spicy,” he said.

“Fuck. You’re annoying.”

“Let’s go kids. Time to rock this place,” Bash said.

I kept my fingers linked with Evie’s until we got to the side of the stage. Then I leaned down and kissed her one last time.

“I told you I needed a good luck kiss before every show,” I said. “But since you can’t come to every show, I guess I’ll have to get a kiss tonight for all the ones you’re going to miss.”

“I’m totally on board with that. Knock them dead, my hot rock star,” she said, before she turned to follow Josh to the other side of the stage where I would eventually end up.

“You gonna be able to play while you’re in your lust fog?” Jax asked.

“I swear you would not be missed if something happened to you.”

“Threats are very unbecoming. Now clear that head of yours and let’s go show these fans how much they missed us.”

We got in our places; the crowd went insane, but all I could see was Evie grinning from the side curtain. What I wouldn’t give to have her there every night. But having her here, knowing she’d taken that step to get past her apprehension and love me as much as I loved her, was worth everything.

Chapter 27

EVIE

Steelwolf was amazing. I’d watched their show all those years ago from the front of the stage in floor seats and I’d watched them play live at a bar, but this was completely different.

I loved seeing the interactions
