Karma (Kings of Rebellion MC Book 1) - K.T Fisher Page 0,30
comes running up to us.
“So, where is Demon?” I dare to ask and by the look on Bomber’s face I know what’s coming. “He got away didn’t he?”
Bomber nods. “Yeah, a few other men did too.”
I bitterly laugh. “Don’t tell me, Strike?”
He nods again. “And Switch.”
This just gets better and better.
“Grim! We found the rest of the girls.” He begins. “They’re all in the back.”
“Let’s go and get them then.” Natasha runs and I follow.
“No wait!” The man tries to stop us, but we go anyways and when we go into the back we know the room he’s talking about because other bikers are staring into it. We join them and what greets us is disgusting. Every woman I have known since I have been here is dead on the floor. Even Tracy, and the other women who were here by choice. Seems we weren’t that far apart on the Devil’s concerns as we thought.
“Let’s get you out of here.” Comes the British man from before. “You don’t need to see this.”
Gunshots sound from outside and suddenly everyone is running towards the front.
“Stay here.” Grim orders us.
Elise, Natasha and I stand alone inside the clubhouse where not so long ago, a party was in full swing.
“You think we should go out there?” Natasha asks.
“Are you crazy?” Elise asks. “We stay inside where we are safe.”
“Alright, biker princess.” Natasha laughs and Elise glares at her.
“Don’t ever call me that.” She crosses her arms and I have to hold back my smile.
“Just like I planned,” a voice comes from behind us and I spin around. When I see Demon, Strike and Twist standing there my heart drops. “A little gun fire sends them all outside, leaving my girls unprotected.”
“We’re not your girls.” Natasha growls.
Demon laughs. “Oh, but you are and I need one of you to come with me.”
“You will, and unless you do not choose, I will.” He stands so smug, watching us as men shoot at each other outside. My head is spinning everywhere and I don’t know what to think. So much is fucking going on.
“No.” Elise answers. “My dad won’t let you.”
Demon motions to his side, and out walks Andrew holding Chatter in his arms. She has a gun pointed at her head and tears streaming down her face. The poor girl is naked and covered in blood, whether it’s her own or someone else’s, I can’t tell.
“Let her go!” I scream.
“I will, if you choose.” Demon grins.
I look back at the King’s members, shooting away into the distance.
“I wouldn’t go out there if I were you.” Demon boasts. “See, you could get hurt out there and we wouldn’t want that and if you move, Chatter here gets a bullet in the head.”
Chatter whimpers at hearing this. I just don’t know what to do. I don’t want any of us with Demon, but I don’t want Chatter to die.
“They’ve fucking had long enough!” Strike yells.
“Alright,” Demon growls at his vice president. “If you three won’t choose, I will.” He looks at us all, thinking over his options and then with open arms he looks right at me. “Raven, come here.”
Natasha grips harder onto my hand. “No.”
I look at her desperately. “I have to.”
“No you don’t.” Elise cries and runs outside.
“Elise!” I scream and watch in horror as she runs outside, into the middle of the gunfire shouting for anyone to hear her. I quickly look back to Chatter, fearing for her life.
Demon gives a nod to Andrew and I panic. “Please no!” I scream. “Don’t shoot her, I will come with you.”
“Lauren.” Natasha scolds.
“I have to do this.” I whisper and face Demon. “I will come, just let her go.”
“Come here, my girl.” He opens his arms, waiting for me to come to him like a loving boyfriend.
I regrettably let go of Natasha’s hand, and I hear her crying as I walk towards Demon. Strike grins from behind him, his promises of torture playing in his eyes and I hold back my own frightful tears.
When I get close enough to Demon he pulls me into his arms, squeezing my injuries and making me wince. “Welcome back, Raven.”
A loud gunshot rings out and a flash of red fills my eyes. A warm liquid sprays my face and my ears painfully ring. I hear Natasha scream and it makes me open my eyes and when I do I almost fall to the floor. Demon catches me as I stare down
