It's Complicated - J. S. Cooper Page 0,136

“You can answer the question, Gemma. It’s okay.” He touched the back of my neck and squeezed. I wasn’t sure if he meant it, but I knew I had to be honest.

“I met you and Connor around the same time,” I said to Lucas. “I met you guys around the same time. I started going with dates with you guys about the same time. And honestly, I liked you both in the beginning. I thought you were both nice, handsome guys. But I just had more of a connection with Connor. And yeah, he’s the one that’s been on my mind from the beginning. I’m sorry, Lucas. I’m sorry, it wasn’t fair to you.”

“That’s fine.” He shrugged. “Whatever. Go with micro dick there. You know, you saw mine. I’m the bigger boy.” His eyes bore into me and then he looked at Connor. “So deal with that, dickhead.”

“Come on, Jennifer,” he said, and then they walked out of the room.

I could see Connor was about to go after him and punch him and I grabbed him. “Don’t.”

“I’m not going to hit him.” Connor shook his head. “He’s a fucking idiot. I was going to tell him don’t ever talk to you that way again.”

“It’s okay, Connor. He’s upset. He’s pissed. And he has every right to be.” I shrugged. “Let him go. It is what it is, right?” I looked at him hopefully. If Lucas kept this up, there was a real possibility that he was going to ruin my relationship with Connor. I didn’t know how much Connor wanted to hear about the fact that I had dated his brother as well.

“Gemma, I love that you’re so concerned about me and my feelings, but trust me, I grew up with Lucas. I know you’re not missing anything, and I’m confident in my ability to please you. I’ve seen the look on your face when I make you come. I’ve seen the look on your face when I fuck you. No other man can make you feel that way. Just me.”

“Awfully confident, aren’t you, Connor?” I said with a small smile.

“I think I have every right to be, right? It is me you chose. I’m sure you had opportunities with him.” He made a face. “And you decided not to.”

“I didn’t want to. I didn’t want to at all,” I admitted. “Just you. You were the only one I wanted.”

“Yeah, so what do I have to be upset about? The best man won, even though I didn’t know I was in a competition.”

“Well, it wasn’t a competition. It was a dating app, Connor. It just happened to be that I ended up dating two guys that were brothers. I honestly don’t know how I didn’t make the connection because you both mentioned that your brother was on the app and was the complete opposite. I just, I don’t know. It didn’t even strike me as being a possibility that I could match with two brothers and date both of them. It’s craziness.”

“You know what would have been even crazier,” Connor said with a small smile.

“What?”

“If we’d had a threesome.”

“Connor.” I hit him on the shoulder. “You’re disgusting.”

“Am I though? Would you have wanted that? Would you have wanted both of us, Gemma?”

I looked at him for a few seconds and I didn’t know how to answer him because honestly, the answer was yes. I would have loved for both he and Lucas to have devoured my body at the same time just so I’d know what the experience felt like. But I knew that as confident as Connor was, he most probably wouldn’t want to hear that answer.

“I don’t know,” I said with a small smile. I didn’t want to lie outright.

“Oh Gemma, you naughty girl.” He looked at me with admiration in his eyes. “You are far naughtier than I ever thought you were.”

“Yeah. Well, you know, I’m not Mrs. Goody Two-shoes if you didn’t know that already.”

“Huh, so you’re definitely down to experiment then, that’s what I’m hearing.”

“Let’s just say that this Christmas, I’ve been a naughty girl and next Christmas, if you play your cards right, I could be even worse.”

“Oh Gemma, don’t tempt me. Don’t tempt me.”

Chapter 34

“Okay Connor, are you ready?” I said as we walked up to my parents’ front door.

“As ready as I’m ever going to be.” He made a face. “Should I run away now, or should I run away later?”

“That’s not funny,” I said as I hit him in the shoulder.
