wet my dick, feeling you clamped tight, you have me ready to blow.”
I put more pressure on her clit and her body jolted. I pinched and rolled her nipple, pulling more desperate groans out of her.
“You have no clue how fucking beautiful you feel,” I moaned against her neck. “Clenched tight, soaking my dick. The only thing that feels better is when you come around me.”
“Luke.”
Shiloh’s voice hitched and her pussy spasmed and that was all it took for my orgasm to break loose.
“You feel that?” I grunted through the intense pleasure. “I can’t hold back with you. Too good. Come with me, baby.”
“Yes.”
She lost her rhythm and her fast hard glides turned into jerks and shudders.
“Christ. Perfect.”
“Perfect,” she echoed on a long groan.
Before the last of my climax waned, I kissed her neck and whispered, “I love you, Shiloh.”
“Love.” Tremble. “You.” Another jolt. “Luke.”
It would be a long while before I settled us in bed. Side by side facing each other. Legs tangled. A sated, sleepy gaze coming from Shiloh. And I suspected I was giving her the same. I rolled, turned out the light on her nightstand, rolled back, and tucked her close.
It would be long after Shiloh fell back asleep when I realized I missed something. Along with the sated sleepy look, there was love shining in her eyes. A look that was not new but had been there from day one.
I might have missed it weeks ago, but I didn’t miss it now, and I’d never miss it again.

It was five days after Luke found out about the letters. Five days after avows of love.
And a lot had happened but not a whole lot had changed. Luke and I were still Luke and me only with the added layer of commitment. What had changed was I’d told my captain about the letters I’d received from Clive Hutchinson. To say he lost his mind would be a blatant understatement. The man blew his stack. He yelled at me, ranted about Clive, yelled at me some more. All of this while intermingling creative curse words with promises of protection.
Obviously, my team caught wind of the letters. Gordy, Chip, and Valentine marched straight into the captain’s office and demanded to read them. I felt this was a mistake. I knew I was right after the three of them passed the letters around and read each one of them. Gordy looked murderous. Chip looked perplexed. And Valentine looked concerned. All three looked unhappy. As in unhappy to the hundredth power.
This necessitated a team meeting—Reyes, Soloman, and Mereno took the opportunity to communicate their displeasure but also their worry. No one liked that Clive Hutchinson knew where I lived. I hadn’t thought of that. I wasn’t listed, I had no social media. It would be difficult for him to find my address unless he followed me home. That conclusion led to Gordy calling Luke.
Normally, this would’ve pissed me right the hell off. Especially when Gordy left the room to have a private conversation with my man about me. But after my last breakdown with Luke, I was figuring stuff out. This included me not pitching a shit-fit when the people who cared about me showed me they cared. And I knew this was Gordy’s way of showing me he cared. He wanted to take care of me and the best way for him to do that was to make sure Luke had me covered.
After that things went back to normal with the guys. They didn’t treat me like I was stupid for not coming to them sooner. They didn’t give me more shit beyond that one day. They were just the guys. My team. My friends.
Now my brothers? Their response was unholy. Or I should say Echo and Phoenix’s reaction was outrageously pissed. Echo made the decision as head of the family not to tell River until he was back from his assignment. So I got it from two brothers and would get it from my third whenever he got back. Luckily after two hours of ranting—yes, two hours—Echo burned himself out and turned back into my loving, but over-protective big brother. Phoenix on the other hand can hold a mean grudge. He was still pissed at me and had no qualms letting me know it every time he called me.
And right then Phoenix was sitting across the table from me, glaring. We were at Balls. Luke was sitting to my right. He’d pulled his chair close to mine and Echo
