witnessed the real Paco. A man who lived for the danger and excitement of belonging to a motorcycle club.
She wondered if there was room in his life for her or if she'd always be on the outside.
Chapter 25
Paco
Savage, the president of Cusclan Motorcycle Club, arrived at the pre-planned destination. Paco got off his Harley and joined Priest, Curley, Rick, and Roddy for the meeting. It felt good to be in attendance, considering Priest had him sitting out of any club business since the last time he'd gone off the rails.
It wasn't the first time Priest ordered him to step down, and he understood the reasons. When it came to Tarkio, he needed to put the club first. And he couldn't do that when his head wasn't in the right place.
Savage dipped his chin. "Thanks for getting together in short notice."
The other club's president was a bulldog. He lacked the height of those in attendance at six feet tall, but he more than made up for it in muscle mass. The fucker's arms were as big as Paco's thighs, and he'd seen proof the guy knew how to back up the show.
"We heard you had some information on Moroad Motorcycle Club." Priest kept his hands at his sides like the rest of the Tarkio members.
At the moment, there was no fight with Cusclan as long as the other MC stayed out of Missoula.
"The president and six of his members were taken into custody yesterday. The other members had to unload the haul of weapons they were selling fast in case the Feds raided each of their houses," said Savage.
Paco glanced at Curley. That was news to them.
Moroad ran the biggest underground illegal weapons train in the Pacific Northwest and had the whole territory west side of the Rockies. They also had all the power within the Idaho penitentiary.
"How secure is the stash?" asked Priest.
Paco's muscles tensed. It would be a big job if Tarkio decided to expand and start dealing with guns. A lucrative business would bring in a serious cash flow.
"Their backs were pressed up against a wall. We sent riders out yesterday and took their current shipment from them without much of a fight." Savage's gaze narrowed. "From now on, if you want to deal for guns, you'll come to us."
"That doesn't involve us." Priest held up his hand, sprawling his fingers in a sign that he wasn't going for his pistol, and reached into his vest pocket for a pack of cigarettes. "We don't purchase from Moroad...or Cusclan."
"Fair enough." Savage nodded. "If you change your mind, you know how to contact me."
Priest dipped his chin. Paco held his position, agreeing and supporting his president.
Savage's gaze narrowed. "Do you want to share the name of your supplier?"
"Nope." Priest held his ground.
"Maybe another day." Savage backed away, and seeing Tarkio would let them leave, he took his six riders with him and prepared to ride away.
Curley passed a cigarette to Paco. He took a long hit and kept the smoke when Curley lit another one for himself. They had an hour's ride back to the clubhouse but would wait until every Cusclan member in attendance cleared the area.
The others rode off. Paco walked a few steps away. Meetings always filled him with energy, and it felt good to stretch and walk off the tension.
"That wasn't the news I expected to hear." Roddy walked over and sat on his Harley.
Priest stared off in the direction Savage had gone. "With Moroad out of the picture for the unforeseeable future, Cusclan is going to take that as an opportunity to spread out."
"Everything is going to change." said Rick.
Paco had a feeling Rick already knew, as he did, the ways Cusclan could try and take over Missoula. As an ex-Cusclan member turned Tarkio member, Rick knew how greedy the other MC was to grow bigger. Now, they had the gun trade.
If Cusclan tried to start a war, all hell was going to break loose. Tarkio wouldn't let that happen and would call in all three hundred members to protect their territory.
"Getting the news today, we're already too fucking late." Priest walked to his motorcycle. "Curley, call a meeting the second we're back. Make sure all the officers are there tonight."
Curley tossed his cigarette to the ground. "You got it."
Paco finished his smoke and got on his motorcycle. He'd be called on to lead a crew in protecting Tarkio. That would take him away from casing out the casino, trying to find a gateway into
