Heartbreak You - T.L. Smith Page 0,25
you, Theadora, ever since the moment I saw you. Then, when I had you, I couldn’t seem to get enough,” he says, and my back straightens, and goosebumps fly over my skin. “As I said, I always get what I want.” Atlas turns me with one hand while the other comes up to my throat, pinning me to the door while his lips descend on mine.
It takes my breath away, literally.
The impact is so potent that I open my mouth instantly, and he takes that opening as an invitation and kisses me harder, his body now pressed against mine. And then I’m kissing him back, my hands trailing down his body until I reach his belt buckle, his hands applying a little extra pressure as I go. Then as I bite his lip, my hand cups his cock and squeezes. He pulls away, his lip falling between my teeth, his hand staying on my throat as he looks down at where my hand is.
“Remove your hands from my body, Atlas,” I say, squeezing him just that little bit harder.
Atlas drops his hands, but when he does, he lets them fall over my body, outside and over the swell of my breasts. His hands roam as they fall until they drop from my body at my waist, and then back to his sides.
“Don’t ever touch me again without my permission,” I say, then let go of his cock and push him away. I open the door with shaky hands, stepping out. I manage to get a few steps away before I turn back to him, he’s smiling as he watches me leave.
Fuck, did I just entice a mad man?
I think, I possibly did.
My fingers touch my lips in the elevator.
I have to shake him off.
I don’t want Atlas Hyde.
I am better off without him, that fact I know for sure.
So why is my whole body on fire from his touch?
Chapter Twelve
Theadora
“Sydney said you didn’t sign it,” Tina states, stepping into my house without knocking. I’m on my couch, my throw blanket over my legs and a glass of wine in my hand to stop my fingers from constantly touching my lips, from where his lips touched mine, scorching them.
“She needs to learn to keep her mouth shut,” I say, biting back.
“I like it when you’re mean, you need to do it more often.” She pushes my legs out of the way, they fall to the floor taking the throw blanket with them then she takes the seat next to me. “Give me that wine.” She removes it from my hand and takes a large sip.
I look at her. “Do you love Sydney?”
“I think I might. Is that weird? I’ve never been with a girl until Sydney. But I like the way I feel around her, I like the person I am with her. Plus, the sex…” she fans herself, “… it’s the best I’ve ever had.”
“Atlas was the best I’ve ever had,” I say on a grumble.
Tina chuckles. “Oh, I have no doubt about that, not at all.”
“He kissed me.” My fingers go back to my lips now she’s taken my wine glass away, and touch the smoldering skin. “I was falling for him before—”
“Before he turned into an ass.” Tina chuckles.
“Yep,” I reply.
She passes my wine back as a knock is heard on my door. I stand to answer it as Tina flicks on the television. When I pull open the door, the last person I expect to see is standing on the other side.
“Lucy,” I say, looking down at her round belly, which she is holding protectively. She looks at me but doesn’t speak. “Lucy, why are you here?” Confusion shows in my tone as I grimace and narrow my eyes on her.
“I came to talk.” She forces herself past me, pushing my body to one side.
Tina is standing in the hallway, her arms are crossed over her chest while she stares at Lucy incredulously.
“Tell your friend to leave. Her negativity isn’t good for me, especially with the baby.” Lucy holds her belly and then proceeds to rub it like she cares, and it has me confused.
I look at Tina who shakes her head.
“Thea,” Lucy whines, looking at Tina.
“I’m not going anywhere, you evil spawn,” Tina replies.
“Fine, at least give me space to speak to Thea alone.”
“Only if she wants to speak to you.”
Spinning around, I look at Tina who appears like she’s ready to tackle Lucy, pregnant or not, to the floor.
“It’s fine. I’ll be fine,” I tell
