option C,” I said as I started to lift my hand, feeling the power rising within me. But unbeknownst to me she had the upper hand, for her own power was far quicker than mine.
“Very well, say hi to the King, after all… he is an old friend and he's just dying to kill himself another dragon!” she said emphasising the word dying, and before I could think too much about it, suddenly a Demonic tentacle lashed out at us, coming from nowhere!
It headed straight for me, and at the same time she raised her own hand making a gust of power fly straight from her scarred hands. I knew then what she had intended to do, which was grab me, whilst pushing the others back and forcing them into the portal. However, what she hadn't accounted for was Trice’s quick actions. He had partially shifted enough to bring forth his wing, shielding me and at the same time knocking back the tentacle with enough force it severed a meter length from the end, making the squirming piece fall at our feet.
But this all happened in seconds, and as the witch screamed in anger, it was the last thing we all heard before we were pushed back by an invisible force. We headed straight for the shimmering portal, and I watched as first Vern then Gryph disappeared through it. Then it was their brother’s turn to follow as my last glimpse of Trice was him desperately shouting my name a single second before he vanished. As for me, I could feel myself falling right behind them and I braced myself for whatever it would feel like to fall through… however, it never came.
My body came to a painful halt as it was tugged back just before my body was able to make it through. I first looked down across my chest to see where the pain was coming from, as the rope from the sack cut into my skin. I then looked over my shoulder to find the cause, as there was another tentacle that had grabbed hold of the sack and was using it to keep me in this realm.
“LET ME GO!” I screamed, and this had been all Trice had needed. Because suddenly a clawed hand came back through the portal and snagged the rope just enough to cut through it, releasing me from the witch’s hold. I screamed as the pain sliced through me, where Trice had accidently caught my skin whilst trying to save me, before everything else was lost to sensation. This was the nauseating feeling of being sucked through some kind of vacuum as all four of us found ourselves flying beyond the portal like the witch had intended. I cried out, but my voice became lost in a dazzling echo that surrounded me as if there were hundreds of me all screaming at the same time. I then felt Trice’s hold on me disappear as he too was ripped away, with his clawed fingers losing their grip on my clothes.
My body felt as if it was being torn apart in a painless attempt at trying to create more of me. It was the strangest sensation I had ever felt, and thankfully it wasn't one that lasted long. I landed in an ungracious heap with only the smell of freshly cut grass to tickle my nose. Then the pain hit, and it felt like every part of my body ached after spending twelve hours at the gym!
“Owwww,” I moaned, before putting my hand beneath me and pushing up so I could take a look and see what new shitstorm had landed our way or should I say…
Where we had landed.
When I took one look at my surroundings, the first thing that came to mind, also came whispered from my lips…
“Oh shit, well, we are not in Kansas Hell anymore.”

Dash It All
I shifted painfully, pushing my body even further up from the ground, taking in my new surroundings again. Unsurprisingly, it was something that looked vastly different than the realm I had once been in moments ago. The grass beneath my fingertips was unlike anything I'd ever felt before, as it was so soft, I almost questioned whether I was in fact sat on some giant creature’s back and was now stroking its fur. It wasn’t even a familiar green colour, but instead was a strange beige that faded to a soft peach tone at the tips.
