Half-Blood Academy 3 Magic Fury an academy reverse harem fantasy romance - Meg Xuemei X Page 0,36
Demigod of Sea. They didn’t turn on their full angry voltage, though, since they were still terrified of him. Even so, they were courageous enough just for looking daggers at a demigod.
Paxton didn’t pay attention to them, so my friends were wasting their energy if they wanted him to notice or care. The gesture wasn’t wasted on me, though. Their support warmed my heart.
I tilted my head to the side and looked at Paxton.
“What do you want, Paxton?” I asked huskily, surprised that there wasn’t hostility toward him in my voice anymore.
He grinned at me, doting amusement sparkling in his violet eyes. The Demigod of Sea hadn’t smiled like that since the unfortunate day I’d met him. He probably hadn’t smiled like that in his entire existence, considering his cruel, harsh personality. It was a wonder he even knew how to tug his lips up. But damn, that killer smile was going to unmake me if I let my guard down.
Nat and Yelena both looked mesmerized. Every demigod had the power to seduce and dominate. They were born with that.
“After dessert, I’ll take your friends back to their dorm,” Paxton said.
“Who assigned you as boss?” I challenged him. “My friends can stay here as long as they want. This is Héctor’s house! Héctor invited them, Axel approved, and even Zak didn’t object.”
Yelena pulled my sleeves, probably because she was one of the sweetest people on Earth and didn’t want to be the cause of a problem between the demigod and me.
“Whatever I say, you’ll always interpret it the wrong way, won’t you, Buttercup?” Paxton purred.
“Don’t call me that,” I said. “You haven’t earned that.”
“I haven’t,” he agreed.
Nat and Yelena traded a glance as if questioning if the sea demigod was in his right mind since Paxton had never shown this meek side.
He was king of the sharks in everyone’s eyes.
“What the fuck is going on?” Héctor poked his head in and scanned us, his shoulders tensing as he evaluated if Paxton was going to be an issue.
“Paxton isn’t allowing my friends to stay,” I said. “I told him to fuck off because this is your house, and you invited Yelena and Nat. Not long ago, didn’t you say, ‘This Nat should be encouraged’?”
Héctor blinked. “I said that? Which one is Nat?” He waved a hand dismissively. “It’s excellent that you told Paxton to fuck off. My house is yours, lamb. My home is your home. You can do whatever you want and invite whoever you want here.”
I beamed.
Paxton sighed. “I was proposing to send her friends back to the Academy after their tea time because Marigold needs to feed soon. I even volunteered to take the two initiates to their dorm while her feeding is taking place here. Whenever I open my mouth, she becomes enraged and misinterprets my every word and intention. I’ve never met anyone who can hold a grudge for forever.”
Héctor frowned at Paxton. “Then you should refrain from opening your mouth in front of my lamb and upsetting her.”
Paxton glared at Héctor.
“You have only yourself to blame, swimming boy.” Axel appeared behind Héctor. “Try not to be in the same room as my Cookie.”
Paxton spat. “She isn’t yours only. Don’t make me the black sheep.”
“You aren’t even the black sheep,” I said. “You’re a wolf in a sheep’s clothing.”
Axel laughed.
Paxton ran his large hand through his thick hair and shook his head. “I’m not going to win this.”
“Paxton made a valid point,” Zak said, looking in through the outside window. “You’ll soon need special nutrition other than regular food, Rosebud. Don’t deny that part of your nature. If you look in the mirror, you’ll see that you now have faint dark circles under your eyes. We won’t allow you to lack for anything. Your every need must be met.”
All the demigods were used to talking to soldiers, so their habits often came out even when they were dealing with me, like right now with Zak commanding me.
“Are you taking some special vitamins?” Nat asked in a whisper.
“You should take it right now,” Yelena whispered as well. “You don’t need to wait.”
I blushed furiously, and Paxton grinned at me. He loved to see the pinkish color on my face, and there was heat in his violet eyes.
My heart fluttered. My body always reacted to him, no matter if I liked it or not.
My blood raced at images of tangling with the demigods between the sheets. A hunger like no other purred in my belly. My tongue swept
