Fool For You - By Megan Noelle Page 0,123

had plans for us.

“Tonight’s not going to work—another time though.” I added with a smile. Ollie didn’t seem at all affected by my hesitation over plans for the night.

“That sounds good to me, but before I leave—how about a dance?”

“A what?”

“A dance, Dee, come on. In that dress you deserve to dance.” Well I have—a few times.

“Oh, I don’t know.”

“Come on, I insist!” He grabbed hold of my hand before I had a chance to say no.

Next thing I knew, we were on the dance floor. His hands positioned where Corey’s had been not long ago. I’m sure by now the guests probably thought I was playing games with multiple men. Especially since most didn’t fail to notice my shameless displays of affection for Corey. Now here I was, with a different man’s arms around me. I kept my head down to avoid any disapproving glances being thrown in my direction. The dance, the song, nor the others on the dance floor—nothing made an imprint in my brain.

Finally, the song changed to a faster pace. I took that as an excuse to leave the floor. Ollie held onto my hand; unwilling to let me go as we walked to the front door.

“I know you’re working, so I won’t distract your attention any longer tonight. Thank you for the dance, though.” He lifted my hand to his lips and placed a kiss on the back. Lord—could this get any cheesier? “I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my time than to have you in my arms.” Guess he could get worse.

“I’ll call you.”

“Have a good night, Dee.” Oliver waved once more before disappearing into the night. I rushed back to the reception, as the party began to slowly wind down.

My eyes instantly darted to the bar, where Corey was staring at me. With hands on his hips I had no doubt he was completely pissed off. Whether he was mad at me, Ollie or both—I couldn’t tell. I shrugged my shoulders with brow furrowed, I mouthed the word ‘sorry.’ I knew he saw me; he shrugged back. This better not screw up the rest of my night.

Bailey—the amazing woman she was—told me she would stay late and clean up with the staff once the wedding party ended. She insisted it was because I’d stayed late the night before, but I wasn’t stupid—she’d seen the way I spent the evening lusting after Corey. I made a mental note to give her something wonderful to make up for her impeccable timing.

Corey was more than ready to go and Sanders had no problem staying behind. I grabbed a few things before we left in Corey’s Jeep and headed back to my place. Before leaving, I managed to swipe a bottle of chilled champagne; the two of us traded off taking long pulls from the bottle until it was gone. Then we spent a good hour getting out all of our built-up energy.

The bedside lamp was on, our empty bottle of champagne sat underneath. The light cast a small glow over Corey’s bare, ripped chest. It wasn’t easy leaving that all-too tempting sight but I needed sustenance. Corey’s hand tried to reach out to keep me in bed but I escaped his grasp. I grabbed his red button up shirt that was discarded on the floor. My panties were resting next to the shirt; I tugged them into place after buttoning a few of the buttons to keep it from flying open. I practically ran to the kitchen and yanked out my large piece of cake from the fridge along with two beers and a fork.

Corey was leaning against the headboard, with a smirk on his face when I returned. I sat on the bed next to him; we each took a swig of beer before setting them down.

“Now this has to be my favorite part of hosting weddings—the cake.” He let out a laugh and rolled his eyes; taking another drink. His hand reached out and rested on my thigh, slowly caressing the skin. Reigniting a fire that had been put out already—multiple times.

Corey licked his lips. “Let me get a bite.” I slowly slid the fork into his mouth, watching his lips close seductively over the cake in. I let my tongue trail over my lips as I craved the delectable taste of sugar and Corey. When I pulled the fork back, a small piece of frosting fell onto his chest. Our eyes looked from the spill up
