Follow Your Heart (Catalina Cove #4) - Brenda Jackson Page 0,100

she gave him held a bit of naughtiness, then she said, “Glad you think so, but I’m hoping you won’t stop there.”

He didn’t consider himself a slow person and understood her meaning clearly. Oh, he wouldn’t stop there. He intended to eat her, and then make love to her until neither of them would ever think of letting anyone or anything ever come between them again.

Taking a step toward her, he began backing her against the wall. “Are you wearing anything under this dress?” He asked, barely holding back the flood of sensual emotions he was feeling.

“Umm...that’s for me to know and for you to find out.”

Tanner had no problem doing that. Quickly dropping to his knees, he slid her dress up. He groaned. No panties. When he came face-to-face with her womanhood, he felt his tongue thicken in his mouth. He had gone too long without loving her this way, and before she could take her next breath, he clutched her thighs, leaned forward and slid his tongue along her seam, then thrust inside of her.

He wasn’t certain how many times he made her scream. All he knew was the hunger that had built up inside of him for her seemed to take control and he could not get enough. Finally, he stood and peeled off her too-sexy dress and removed her shoes. Then he quickly got out of his clothes and put on a condom.

He was rock-hard and when he lifted her up to wrap her legs around him, he pressed her back against the wall and entered her body. Like his tongue, his manhood couldn’t seem to get enough, and he kept thrusting into her. Pounding hard. Like his life depended on it. Like he couldn’t get enough.

When they climaxed a few more times, he gathered her into his arms and carried her into his office. He took her again, a couple more times, on his desk. He’d never felt like the Energizer Bunny to this degree with any woman.

“Remind me never to let you go without getting some of me for this long again,” she whispered against his ear.

He smiled. “Yeah, that will teach you. Should I apologize?” he asked, scooping her up to carry her around the desk to sit in his lap.

“No, don’t apologize. I loved every moment of it.” Then she softly said, “And I love you, Tanner. I tried to fight it. I tried convincing myself there was no way I could fall in love with you so quickly, but I did. And today when you admitted to loving me back, it was more than I could handle. I wanted to believe you, but couldn’t. Will you forgive me for doubting you?”

He licked the side of her face a few times, then said, “Yes, I forgive you. Considering your history with that last guy, and my history with women, I could understand you being cautious. But things happened to me like I’d been warned they would. I was told that no matter how much I’d enjoyed my life as a single man, that I would know the woman who would bring an end to all of it when I met her.”

He cuddled her in his arms. “As expected, I tried fighting it, denying it and refusing to acknowledge what I knew was true. I had fallen in love.”

She pressed her forehead against his. “Where do we go from here, Tanner?”

“I want us to continue to date so you can get to know me better. Then I want you to meet my family, my business partners, my friends—everyone who is important to me.”

She smiled. “And I want you to meet the rest of my family and friends, as well. Especially my godmother, who owns a bakery in town.”

He smiled. “I can’t wait.”

And then they were kissing again.

Two days later

“MS. WAYFARE, SENATOR MALONE is here to see you.”

Audria stood from where she’d been sitting by the window overlooking the Potomac. She hadn’t heard from Roman since she’d talked to him two days ago, right before he’d done that press conference and made a complete fool of himself by professing his love for a woman who had no class.

She knew he would come back to her eventually and it hadn’t taken long. He owed her big-time for claiming to love another woman. She wouldn’t accept less than a marriage proposal in a very public place—hmm, she would have to give that some thought. It would have to be perfect and make the newspaper.

“Send him in,
