A Fey New World (The Godhunter #32) - Amy Sumida Page 0,107
the gathering ecstasy that tightened my muscles—the rhythmic pleasure that beat its way up from my core. The only smell I knew was his scent—vanilla orchids and stag musk. All I needed was his taste to be completely consumed by him.
I reached for him. “Kiss me, Faerie God.”
Azrael slid his hands beneath me and lifted me to his kiss. As our tongues met and his taste exploded in my mouth, he groaned and bucked through his release. My body splintered into sparkling pieces, my arms and legs wrapped tightly around my lover, trying to keep myself whole. And deep within my belly, magic and passion took root and began to grow.
Chapter Fifty
Weeks went by, maybe months. I wasn't sure. Outside the castle walls, technology found its place among the magic. The human race reached a balance and moved past the growing pains of its reborn world. Businesses reopened and the economy started to recover. Fey fruits and vegetables—growing wildly and abundantly without help from humans—were discovered to be so delicious that new restaurants opened just to showcase them. Fishermen learned how to fish respectfully and small cattle ranches were established. Unfortunately, cows didn't do well with the whole roam wild thing, and Azrael finally agreed that they could be kept in small numbers.
World governments also went through some radical changes. The Earth was now ruled by the Fey Gods and our laws were obeyed by the entire planet. With worldwide laws, things actually ran much smoother. Azrael gave the world leaders his orders, they followed them, and humans thrived. Laws were created to protect the new creatures that roamed freely and the new race of Wild Fey who Azrael had claimed as our people. With the creation of the Elemental Well, the Wild Fey had ceased to be so wild, just as the elements had. Reason returned to them. They stopped mindlessly attacking people and a tenuous peace was born, watched over and guided by the Faerie Gods.
I admit it was mostly Azrael who handled the humans. As the days passed, I cared less and less about their issues and left the speeches and meetings to my husband, who took great pleasure in them. I was more focused on our sons, growing in my belly. My stomach had swelled and rounded as if I were in my second trimester. But with Azrael and I being who we were, my pregnancy was likely proceeding at a rapid rate, which meant that my belly wasn't an accurate indication of time. Which was fine; time didn't matter. As long as my sons were born healthy and whole, I would happily carry them for as long as necessary.
My big belly only aroused Azrael more and we spent hours every day reveling in our love, his shaft thrusting deep in my sex or mouth or even that other place that had seemed forbidden to him when we were trying to conceive. Now, he had no such restraints and took me when, where, and how he pleased. My clothing would vanish and I'd know my husband was in need. I'd lay down and spread my legs or brace myself on my hands and knees, waiting for him to find me and take me. Sometimes, I'd hide instead and give the god a good chase. Azrael needed that—to hunt me to ground and fuck me savagely. To rut his dominance over me and establish his virility. The magic and beasts in me understood this and submitted to it because we loved him. But he was not merely a beast and I was not merely his mate. I was also his eternal goddess, the mother of his unborn children, and Azrael worshiped me as much as he dominated me. In short, we achieved harmony as well.
Life became pure pleasure. Pure love.
As for my other husbands and children. I trusted that they were safe and well. I still loved them, somewhere in the dark corners of my mind and heart, but I couldn't concern myself with them anymore. I had greater responsibilities now. They must have known this because they never returned or tried to contact me. No god came to the gates of the Golden Citadel—as the humans had taken to calling it. But many of the Wild Fey came—summoned by their god—and built homes in the surrounding forest.
They were just another layer of protection and power that Azrael surrounded us with. His magical army. The humans called them holy or evil, depending on their perspective. No, they
