Fake (Madison Kate #3) - Tate James Page 0,104

dragging it through my teeth the way he liked to do to my nipples. "If you lose, I'm making you sit and watch while Steele fucks my ass and Kody chokes me with his cock." Archer's eyes widened, and I bit back a laugh. "Deal?"

His glare darkened. "Deal. But you know I won't lose."

I just shrugged. "It all sounds like a win to me."

He snorted a laugh and rolled his eyes, but he started the car again and drove the rest of the way back to the mansion.

We paused briefly outside the gates, and I huffed a sigh.

"D for D'Ath, isn't it?" I pointed to the ornate monogram on the gate as it swung slowly open. There was a black-uniformed security officer stationed to the side, and he quickly swept his flashlight over our car before waving us through.

Archer gave me a smirk. "Took you long enough to figure out, Princess."

I glowered back at him but didn't comment. If the D was for D'Ath, then it meant Archer, and not my dad, had set the gate code to spell out KATE.

We parked in the garage, and Archer grabbed my hand as we made our way past all the other cars. Before we reached the door, he pinned me to the side of a Range Rover and kissed me until my knees were weak and my head was spinning.

"Topping up that mental spank bank," he told me with a short laugh, letting me go with a lust-filled stare.

I just licked my lips and mentally scolded my pussy for reacting so easily to his touch.

"Anyone home?" Archer called out as we left the garage behind and made our way into the house. I was still in the same clothes I'd left my apartment in on Saturday morning, but they'd been washed and dried. It wasn't like I'd really had a lot of need for clothing in the meantime.

Of course, I still had no panties.

"Finally," Steele grumbled, eyeing us both as we entered the kitchen. He was leaning against the island, a half-full beer in his hand and black smears of grease decorating his forearms and T-shirt.

Kody just dropped his own beer onto the counter and stormed over to us, lashing out with impressive speed and punching Archer straight in the face.

"Kody, what the fuck?" Archer roared, clapping his hand to his cheek where Kody's fist had connected.

I'd apparently grown accustomed to violence because I hardly even reacted. Something about Kody's vibe told me he wasn't planning on killing anyone tonight.

"That," Kody barked back at Archer, "was for what you said to MK."

Archer scowled, but he didn't argue, just jerked a nod and grabbed Kody's abandoned beer from the counter. "I'm going to bed. I'm wrecked."

Steele scoffed a laugh. "It's seven in the evening. Arch, don't be a baby."

Archer just flipped him off and stomped out of the kitchen while pounding Kody's beer.

After he was gone, I tilted my head curiously at Kody. "What did Archer say to me that deserved a punch in the face, Kodiak Jones?" Because I hadn't exactly given him or Steele a play-by-play. Beyond assuring them that we were alive, I'd all but ignored my phone all weekend.

Kody just shrugged, giving me a smirk. "You tell me. I'm sure there was something said that deserved that punch."

I laughed and shook my head. "Yeah, that was a fair assumption. Come to think of it, you probably could have hit him a couple more times."

Kody stepped closer, catching my chin in his fingers and tilting my face up to meet his gaze. "Are you okay, babe?" His question was dead serious, and it filled me with a heady sense of security. He genuinely cared about me, and that was awesome.

"I'm fine," I replied honestly as he tilted my face to the side and inspected the mess of marks Archer had left on my neck. "Thanks for the heads up, by the way. You two couldn't have warned me that you'd thrown him out until he fixed shit?"

Kody just grinned and shrugged, releasing my chin. "Nah, it was more fun this way."

"He means we had no way to know he'd actually go see you. We tried to make him deal with his issues once before, and it didn't work out even remotely as well." Steele came over to me and nudged Kody out of his way. "But we're glad things seem better between you two."

I shifted uncomfortably, not quite ready to discuss my multiple-partner sex life so soon. "Yup. We've reached
