were switching.
I slowly turned and watched the reactions as everyone saw me.
It was wide eyes and gasps. It was quick waves along with smiles and nods.
Everyone was surprised to see me.
Even Evie and Darcy.
When they saw me, they hurried up to me like we were best friends and had just hung out last night.
“You’re here!” Evie cried out.
“I knew you could do it,” Darcy said. “Do you remember anything yet?”
“No,” I said.
Evie looked at Gia. “And you’re here why?”
“She’s helping me,” I said.
“Seriously?” Evie asked with a scowl.
I felt Gia start to slink back.
“Gia helped me,” I said. “What did you two do?”
“We gave you space,” Darcy said.
“Plus, it’s so sad,” Evie said. “We needed to digest it all too.”
“That’s not the only thing you’ve been digesting,” Gia said.
“Excuse me?” Evie asked.
“Your ass is getting as big as your ego,” Gia said.
“Okay, hit the bitch,” Darcy said. “Right now, Evie.”
“No,” I said. “Nobody is hitting Gia.”
“You’re really messed up in the head, Winter,” Evie said. She waved her fingers in my face. “You’re going to regret this when you remember everything.”
“Don’t worry, we’ll forgive you,” Darcy said.
She touched my arm and then grabbed for Evie.
They hurried away.
“I hate those two,” Gia said.
“I can see that,” I said. “I’m sure I was on that list.”
“Sort of,” Gia said. “You didn’t have to do that.”
“You don’t have to do what you’re doing for me,” I said.
“So I guess this makes us friends, huh?”
“Sure,” I said. “Should we get matching shirts, bracelets or something else?”
Gia smiled. “Please don’t ever turn into that.”
“Well, I have no memory of anything. I can do what I want. I can…”
My eyes moved beyond Gia and saw Noah.
Standing with his back against the lockers, his head back, sunglasses on his face, wearing a white shirt with the buttons undone, black pants, and black shoes. Like he wanted to look fancy yet casual.
Standing just a few steps away were both Easton and Xavier.
Easton wore a black t-shirt and dark blue jeans.
Xavier had messed up looking dirty jeans, but they were bought that way. He wore a nice-looking shirt though. A far cry from the hoodie…
“What are you looking at?” Gia asked.
She turned her head.
She gasped.
“Winter… no…”
But it was too late.
I was already walking toward the guys.
Easton saw me first.
He punched Xavier in the arm.
Xavier turned his head and his black as night eyes tore through me, making me freeze for a second.
Remember, Winter, they don’t know that you remember everything.
“Noah, check this out,” Easton said in his raspy voice.
Noah kicked from the locker, lifted his sunglasses and looked at me.
“Well, well, well,” he said. “It’s Winter Seacrum.”
“You mean Sea-Cum,” Easton said. “Or… See-Her-Come…”
My face turned red.
I knew all the fucking stupid jokes about my last name.
“You make fun of my last name?” I asked. “Like I can control it?”
“Marry me then,” Easton said. “Then you’d be Winter Ellis.”
“Pass,” I said. “I mean, you weren’t even worth remembering when you fucked me in your car, right?”
Easton grinned.
“What the fuck are you talking about?” Noah asked.
“Oh, you didn’t know that?” Xavier asked Noah. “Easton told Winter that he fucked her.”
“He said he never saw someone so wet in his life,” I said.
Easton suddenly looked pissed and uncomfortable.
Noah stared at Easton with anger. Pure anger.
This was working perfectly…
“Before I forget,” I said. I reached for my bag and grabbed Xavier’s hoodie. I slammed it against his stomach. “Here’s your hoodie back from last night.”
“Oh baby!” someone called out. “Get it, Winter!”
Xavier stared a dark fire at me as his fist tightened around the hoodie. “I said I would come get it back from you.”
“I saved you the trip,” I said. “Is that a problem?”
“I’ll be right back,” Noah said.
He moved by me and I smelled his cologne.
“Fuck,” Easton whispered to Xavier.
They looked in the direction of Noah, so I did too.
Some guy at a locker threw up his hands and started waving them. “Noah, man, bro, I was just fucking around. You know? Lighten the-”
Noah hit the guy in the mouth.
Blood squirted from the guy’s mouth as his head flew back and hit the locker.
I gasped and grabbed for Xavier’s arm.
Xavier then looked at me like I was diseased.
His lip curled and I released my hold.
Violence had a way of rippling through me and making me very uncomfortable.
The guy fell to the floor and Noah turned and came back to the spot where he had been standing.
I noticed blood on his shirt.
I pointed.
He looked down.
“Fuck,” he said.
Without missing a beat, Noah turned
