Extra Whip (Bold Brew #8) - L.A. Witt Page 0,123

course, it went on for a while because Aaron didn’t get tired of kissing any more than I did. It was honestly a miracle I could still feel my lips after all the time I’d spent with him and Will. Worth it.

When we finally separated, Aaron got us some water, and we lounged on the couch, looking duly debauched and satisfied.

As we drank, he met my eyes. “So, I’m curious about something. And you don’t have to tell me.”

“Okay?”

He leaned forward to put his glass on a coaster. “Why is anal a hard limit for you? Do you just not like it? Bad experience?”

“I just don’t like it.” I shrugged. “It’s fun to watch. I mean, let’s get real here: watching you and Will screwing is seriously hot. But I’ve just never enjoyed it myself.”

This was usually the part where someone told me I just needed someone to do it right, and out of sheer habit, I cringed.

And yet I wasn’t at all surprised when Aaron’s actual response was: “I get that. It’s not for everyone.”

Relaxing again, I nodded. “Exactly. Like if I’m monogamous with a guy who really wants to be topped, I’ll do it once in a while to make him happy, but I’d rather not. And I do not bottom.”

Aaron nodded. “Before I met Will, I dated a guy who wouldn’t do anal either. Like ever.”

“And you were good with that?”

“I wanted to be with him.” He shrugged. “I had my limits, he had his, and we worked around them as best we could.” Sliding his hand over my thigh, he smiled. “Obviously it’s not a deal-breaker with you, either.”

“Okay, true.”

He studied me. “Has it been a deal-breaker with other guys?”

“A few, yeah. That’s why most of my dating has been through hookup apps. We meet, we find out right off the bat if we’re sexually compatible, and then we put in the work figuring out if we like each other.”

Aaron laughed. “Man, that would’ve made dating so much easier when I was single.”

“Hmm, yeah. Websites and stuff have been a thing the whole time I’ve been dating, so…”

He groaned. “Thank you for reminding me how much younger you are.”

I snickered. “Well, you might’ve forgotten. You know, since you’re so—”

“Shut up,” he laughed. “And yes, some of us had to do things the old way back in the Dark Ages. Like meeting people in bars and clubs and shit like that.”

“Ugh. That sounds…” I flailed a hand. “Peoply.”

“Mmm, yeah. Kind of the idea when you want to meet, you know, people.”

“Yeah, but how do you figure out what someone is into?”

“Oh, it was complicated.” Some sarcasm dripped off the words. “We had to like, talk to each other. And figure out if we were compatible.”

“Right, but you have to do that after you connect with someone instead of weeding out all the ones you don’t match with.” I clicked my tongue. “That sounds downright exhausting.”

“Yeah, yeah.” Aaron rolled his eyes. “Anyway. Will and I managed to find each other even during those scary dark times. And before him, I’d had boyfriends that were exclusively top or bottom or who didn’t like anal, so finding Will was like hitting the jackpot.”

“A vers Dom?” I nodded sharply. “Yeah, I believe that.”

“Right? Because I know a lot of Doms who don’t bottom because they think it’s submissive.” He laughed softly, shaking his head. “Will bottoms all the time, and—well, as he puts it, the only submissive bone in his body is mine.”

I snorted. “Oh my God. That was bad.”

Aaron chuckled, his expression full of mock innocence as he slid his hand up my leg. “I mean, he’s not wrong.”

“No, but that’s a terrible pun, and you should both be ashamed of it.”

“Probably. But we’re not.”

“Of course you’re not.”

He just grinned. As he stroked my cheek, though, his expression turned a little more serious. “Listen, um, if you’re not busy tomorrow, Will and I meet for lunch a few times a week at Bold Brew. You’re welcome to join us.”

“Really?”

Aaron nodded, a smile playing at his lips. “He usually gets there around eleven to grab a table before it gets crowded, and I try to be there by eleven-thirty. Just depends on when I can break away from the office.”

“And you really don’t mind me joining you? That kind of sounds like a date night type of thing, and—”

“It’s fine.” He ran his fingers through my hair. “In fact, Will brought it up earlier. If you’re game to hang out when
