stumbled forward and hit the floor had I not been able to steady myself on the desk.

Our eyes were locked as he started to hammer into me from behind.

It wasn’t the most intimate position, but it was hot as hell. Being this way with him felt different. Deeper. Harder.

I started meeting him stroke for stroke, pushing back as he pushed forward, and I could feel and hear our skin slapping together erotically.

“More,” I demanded as I pushed my hips back.

I wanted him so desperately that my body wouldn’t be satisfied unless I could feel every thrust.

And I did as he stopped holding back and gave me the ferocity I had to have.

I closed my eyes as he drove into me with a power that was mind blowing, and at an unceasing pace that shouldn’t have been possible.

“Yes, Aiden. Yes,” I screamed, not caring if people could hear me.

I was close. So close. And all I wanted was to come.

The moment he reached down with one of his hands and found my clit, I lost it. My climax happened fast and furious.

Aiden found his own release immediately after I did, and he held my shaking body up even as he orgasmed.

He buried his face in my neck, and we stayed like that, neither one of us moving, and the only sound in the suite was our heavy breathing.

My entire body was quivering, and I couldn’t have done without the support of that desk for a minute or two.

He picked me up and collapsed with my body on top of him onto the couch.

I knew I had to be squashing him, but he wasn’t complaining.

It took a few more minutes for my heart to stop galloping and my breathing to finally slow down.

“I’ll never look at doggie style quite the same way again,” I told him as I was still struggling a little to catch my breath.

I heard him chuckle as I slid to his side, my leg still slung over his supine body, his arms still tightly around me.

“That wasn’t truly doggie style,” he said playfully.

“Then I’ll be happy to let you tutor me in that, too.”

I was completely convinced that I was never going to forget who I was with when it was Aiden. The feel of him, and the pleasure he could give me, was way too powerful to be mistaken for anything else.

I love you. I love you so much.

I wanted to say the words so badly that it was physically painful to hold them back.

But we hadn’t talked about love.

And I wasn’t sure it was something he was ready to hear.

We were still trying to work out our future together.

I jumped when his hand connected with the cheek of my ass.

“Don’t fall asleep,” he warned. “We have slot machines to conquer this morning.”

I laughed. “What if I said I was way more interested in exploring doggie style than the slots?”

“I’d say that we’ll get to them later,” he said eagerly.

I nipped at his ear before I replied, “I think we should definitely get to them later.”

He shot off the couch and picked me up. I wrapped my arms around his neck to steady my body.

“Like after lunch or something?” he suggested.

“Or something,” I agreed.

I didn’t care whether or not we ever saw the slot machines.

Not when I could have Aiden all to myself.

We ended up skipping the slots, and didn’t surface until dinnertime.

Best. Day. Ever.

CHAPTER 25

AIDEN

It took me two weeks after we got back from Vegas to admit to myself that even if it took forever, I’d wait until Skye was damn good and ready to marry me.

Sure, it was what I wanted, and like any stubborn guy, I wanted to get my way.

I’d had a very nice diamond burning a hole in my pocket for over a week now.

And I still hadn’t popped the question.

Truth was, I needed her to want to be committed to me just as much as I wanted her to have everything I had to give.

I wanted her to trust me completely. And, hell, I couldn’t blame her for being slow to trust anyone after what she’d been through.

Until I could feel that she was ready, just being with her was enough.

I’d finally realized that marriage was just a piece of paper. What really mattered was our relationship with each other.

Marriage wasn’t going to keep her from leaving again.

That job was all on me. And I didn’t plan on screwing it up.

The last few weeks I’d felt like me, Skye, and Maya
