I stopped breathing when Will nuzzled his face in the crook of my neck, his right hand now resting on my hip. I could feel his breath on my ear, and I hated that my body was becoming heated as a result of his intimate proximity. “You’re too good for him, Stems,” he whispered, and his words were louder than the noise and music all around us. “Oh, and I’m sure he got you off, but has he ever made you soaked before he had his dick in you?” My chest was heaving, and Will was so close, I knew he felt it every time my chest rubbed up against his. “Lester might be the only one who’s ever gotten between those thighs of yours, Stems, but I bet you he’s never known what to really do with you.”
I tried for aloofness. “Oh, but you’re so sure you would? I mean, you do have all that practice, right?”
Will chuckled, and I wanted to stab him. “Let me take you upstairs and prove it to you.”
Holy shit!
He did not just ask me to go fuck.
I did my best to act as if he wasn’t affecting me, but rejection was a motherfucker, and I was feeling horribly rejected by Ben and his arrogant, cheating ways. Will would be the perfect revenge.
If I were that type of girl.
“As romantic as that offer is, Will-and it’s super romantic,” I huffed, “I’m going to have to pass. I don’t sleep around, no matter what you might have heard.”
Will’s hand slid upward until his hand was underneath my shirt with his thumb caressing my skin in a lazy back and forth motion.
I couldn’t lie. It felt good.
“I’ve heard the same thing everyone else has,” he replied. “That it’s such a shame the hot redhead gave her virginity to an asshole who doesn’t deserve it.”
Suddenly, my eyes watered because his words had hit a raw nerve. He was right. Ben has been a horrible boyfriend, and I was too stupid and desperate to admit it. “Will…” The emotion in my voice was unmistakable.
His head jerked up and his brown gaze was boring into my hazel one. “Don’t do that, Vicky,” he growled. “That motherfucker does not deserve anything from you. Least of all, your tears.”
Will’s words only succeeded in making me feel worse. “Don’t act like you give a shit about me or my feelings, Will,” I snapped. “I know better.”
His jaw ticked and he looked pissed. “And don’t presume to act like you know me, Vicky, when you don’t know shit about me.”
I was so hurt, mad, confused, and full of teenage angst, I called his bluff. “Well, then, put your money where your mouth is, and let’s go upstairs.”
His eyes flicked down towards my lips, and I really thought he was going to kiss me. But I couldn’t let him kiss me. He was the enemy. When his eyes returned to mine, he said, “I want nothing more than to take you upstairs and fuck you so hard and deep, you’ll believe it was me who took your fucking virginity.” I gasped at the seriousness in his tone. “But, whether or not you believe me, I do care about you, Stems.”
He straightened to his full height before walking away, leaving me a confused mess.

A real friend plans the murder with you.
Victoria – (10 Years Later)~
It was getting harder and harder to finish my latest project, and not because I was overly distracted or uninspired.
It was because every time I finished a project I had to head up into San Francisco for a final review with the web-based design firm I worked for, Creating Emages. The company’s founder thought the E would be a cute play on words since everything online was e-something or other.
And I knew I shouldn’t really complain. I was able to make a living off doing something I loved and doing it from home, for the most part. I didn’t even have to hustle my clients. Creating Emages' marketing team fetched the clients and then distributed the work amongst the web designers based on our strengths and what the client wanted.
The job had fallen in my lap three months after graduating from high school. Fiona and I had always had a love for art, and we had submitted our art projects into a country-wide competition during our last semester of senior year for fun. It wasn’t as if we really thought we’d win, or
