I stood there wondering where Fiona was when I noticed Will and Jake moving to pull the punching machine off whoever was on the floor. And the second Jake stepped away, I noticed Fiona plastered against the wall, looking scared out of her mind.
I didn’t think.
I took those stairs two at a time and elbowed the hell out of anyone who was in my way.
If Fiona were anywhere near Will and Jake, that could only mean Damien was the one beating someone to a bloody pulp.
Will and Jake were doing their best to pull Damien off a guy I couldn’t even recognize because he was so bloody.
“Dame, dude…” Will said when they finally managed to pull Damien off a guy I still couldn’t recognize because there was so much blood. Damien ignored him and grabbed Fiona, pulling her into the first bedroom door he saw.
Oh, hell no!
I ran towards the door only to have Will grab me by my waist and haul me up against him. “Don’t even think about it, Stems.”
“Let me go, Will! He’s got Fiona!” I screamed as if he hadn’t just witnessed the same thing I did. “He’s going to-”
Will tightened his hold on me, his breath in my ear. “Relax, Vicky,” he instructed. “Damien’s not going to hurt h-”
“Fuck you, Will Creston!” I didn’t care what he said. This was Fiona and Damien we were talking about. “Let me-”
“Sonofabitch,” he grumbled right before he dragged me into the corner of the landing. He slammed my back against the wall and caged me in with his hands on either side of my face.
I almost kicked him in the balls.
“I’m not going to sa-”
Will glared down at me, trying to intimidate me with his height. “I don’t care what you think you are or aren’t going to do,” he growled, cutting me off. “I’m telling you what you’re not going to do, and that’s go into that room.”
Who does this fool think he is?
“Will, you don’t under-”
This jackass just wouldn’t let me speak. “I understand that Damien is one misstep away from murdering someone, but that someone is not Fiona. Do not interrupt whatever is going on in that bedroom-”
“Nothing is going on in that bedroom because I won’t let him!” I yelled in his face. “Now let me fucking go, Will!”
“Let her go, Will.”
Will’s entire body stilled, and I could see him going from irritated with my antics to pissed off at Ben’s interruption. He turned to face Ben and snarled, “Be careful who you’re talking to like that, Lester.”
Whoooooooooooooaaaaaaaa…
This was a Will Creston I’ve never seen before. Damien’s hair-triggered temper, sure…but never Will. And, for some reason, the unknown made me seek to diffuse the situation. But before I could get a word out, both Will and Ben were muscled behind Damien. Damien stared down at me, and I had to agree with Will. He looked murderous.
“Take Fiona home,” he snapped. “Take her home, and I swear to God, Vicky, if you ever leave her on her own at a party again, I’ll…” He stopped himself, and I had a feeling he was barely restraining himself from killing us all. “Get the fuck home and I better not see either of you again tonight.”
For once, I didn’t fight back.
Damien was serious, and all I could do was nod my head. When he turned his back on me, Will following, I ignored Ben and ran after Fiona.
Chapter 4
Who does he think he is, anyway?
Victoria – (18-Years-Old)~
I was such a loser. It’s graduation night, and it’s supposed to be one of the greatest nights of my life, but it’s not turning out that way.
It started when Damien, Will, and Jake arrived at Ben’s party, and Damien had Heather fucking Winston on his arm. It wasn’t anything new, though. For the past couple of years, girls have been hanging all over Damien, Will, Jake, Earl, and Darius. Admittedly, I’ve never seen Damien do anything other than let the girls just hang on him, but I knew it bothered Fiona.
Will, Jake, Earl, and Darius, on the other hand, were total man-whores. Their reputations were horrible, and it didn’t seem to bother them in the least. And, if it wasn’t bad enough that Damien and Heather ran Fiona off, Ben was acting like a world-class asshole.
The week after Damien beat the crap out of Dennis Franks for kissing Fiona, Ben had asked me out, and I had said yes. For months before he
