my eyes. “That one. Focus on something behind me. Perfect, Mucimi.”

I look at him and he laughs. “Cool as shit, Brother. It’s not bright like the other gold. It will match the skeleton perfect.”

Mucimi takes the computer thing and I hug him. “Thanks, Brother. I’m so fucking glad you’re you.” I hug Mase and add. “And you see everything.”

They laugh then they’re gone. Fucking Brothers.

I spend the rest of my lap time and some Alpha-Bit training time moving around the pool area. I can jog straight, turning back throws me. My legs aren’t getting the signal to move fast enough. I didn’t fall on my face so I smile. Running when I start slow works for me. Rounding the pool, I put my arms out and make it fine. Fucking sweet! When I jump, I’m tipping forward laughing. Champ saves me from face planting. “Thanks, Brother. No leaping. It probably looked stupid anyway.”

My arm is sore as I jog up to the Alpha-Bits training by the trampoline. Hannah stops watching Brody and gets hit on the back. “Time. You’re jogging.” Her smile says it all.

“Mucimi and Mase came. They put a dot on my eye so I’m not getting dizzy like I was. Watch this.”

I swing my head to the side and Pres moves fast. I laugh and swing it to the other side never moving my body. “The dot stops me from losing focus and getting dizzy.”

Pres hugs me then the Alpha-Bits and Hannah do. Turning to Pres, I hold onto Champ. Pres’s smile falls. I shake my head. “I’m not dizzy, just off balance, I can correct it with just a steadying hand.”

He smiles again. “That’s great, Jinx. They’re unbelievable with the shit they know. A dot. I like the matching zoom colors too. They’re just like your skeleton. I don’t see a dot.”

I smile and shrug. “I don’t see the colors.”

The Alpha-Bits laugh. “Happy!”

We yell it back. Hannah points to my shoulder. “You need your skeleton or the brace. Your shoulder is lower.”

I nod. “I was trying out the movements by the pool. My arm is sore. I’m going to show Debra and will get the skeleton on.”

“I’m happy for you, Jinx. I’m glad Prez noticed and said something. It was an easy fix.”

I nod feeling good. The movement doesn’t throw me at all. “It was. I’ll see you at work.”

I turn slowly then start jogging to my house. It feels fucking good to move without the constant help. Shit. Debra is in the shower. I smile and get the skeleton on, she must have just gotten up, I’m dressed and holding the towel when she gets out.

“Morning, beautiful.” I kiss her and bend straight down drying her fast.

“You’re looking color coordinated and moving faster today. I love the new color.”

She’s sees everything. I explain what Mase said and Mucimi did and get a kiss for it. I love having an ol’ lady. I get kissed for shit I don’t know the first thing about. “That’s great. You didn’t steady and wait when you stood.”

“I still need to keep steady when I move turning or faster than my brain tells my body. I’m not dizzy at all when I move. It’s just keeping everything moving together now.”

Her eyes tear up so I hug her. “You’re not going to be dizzy for life with a simple dot. They’re so smart. I feel so lucky to have all the phenomenal people right here loving you as much as I do.”

I try not to laugh when she cries but I’m smiling. “I love the Brotherhood and my Brothers. I wouldn’t be me or have you without them. Love you, baby.”

“Love you too. I need to get to work early. Do you have time for breakfast?”

“I’ll make it as you dress.”

She holds my arm and my hand goes to the counter as I turn fast. “No, I washed my hair.”

I smile because I didn’t need more than the hand and she’s fucking cute. “I’ll braid your hair and we can eat at the office.”

“I love you.” She runs by me for clothes.

While she’s dressing, I brush my hair and check out the new colors in my eye. They spin the light gold then blue on the inside. It looks just like the skeleton. I have to zoom on all kinds of shit to see how that looks with every move I make.

I love when days start out being great.
