Embrace the Darkness (The Maura Quinn Series Book 1) - Ashley N. Rostek Page 0,92
my lips around the mushroom tip. I swirled my tongue and sucked more of him into my mouth until he touched the back of my throat. Then I pulled back, sucking and grazing my teeth along his sensitive flesh as I went.
He hissed and removed his hand from the couch. I caught his wrist firmly before he could reach me and released him from my mouth. I gave him an evil smile and warned, “If you touch me, I’ll stop.” I wanted to be in control while I touched him, knowing it was all me making him come undone.
He didn’t argue, letting me guide his hand back to the couch. I grabbed him at the base of his cock and licked along his length while staring in his lust-filled eyes, then took him back into my mouth. I sucked, hollowing out my cheeks, and bobbed, taking him in as far as I could while stroking what didn’t fit.
His grip on the couch tightened, turning his knuckles white. His chest heaved with labored breaths and when his hips thrusted forward uncontrollably, I smiled around him.
“Fuck, baby,” he groaned, and his head fell backward with rapture.
Once his legs began to shake, I knew he was close. I took him in even deeper, to the point that my eyes watered while my hand cupped his balls, massaging them.
His head fell forward to watch me as he swelled and began pulsing on my tongue. Jets of cum hit the back of my throat and I continued to suck on him until his pulsing subsided. Then, my lips released him with a pop.
In a lust-induced haze, Jamie lifted me to my feet and slammed his lips down onto mine. He kissed me so passionately, my toes curled and I melted in his arms.
He broke away and rested his forehead on mine. “I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of you,” he said breathlessly while running his hand up and down my back.
“Ditto,” I replied and his body shook with silent laughter.
CHAPTER 27
I woke the next day to the sound of my bedroom phone ringing. I ran my hand down the other side of the bed in search of Jamie, finding it empty. It was morning, but I had no idea of the time. Turning, I reached over to my nightstand and picked up the black corded landline.
“Hello,” I mumbled into the phone.
“It’s eleven in the morning, Maura,” Stefan said on the other end.
Is it? Oh, well. I always slept more while on my period. It was honestly safer for everyone the longer I spent in bed. I rubbed my eyes and stretched. “What’s up, Stefan?”
“I’ll be home in an hour. Meet me in my study. There’s something I need to discuss with you.”
Discuss with me? I didn’t know if it was just me, but when a parent said they needed to talk to you, I immediately thought, Oh, shit, what did I do?
“Okay. I’ll be there,” I told him, and I returned the phone to its cradle.
As I sat in one of the chairs in front of his desk, my stomach was a knotted mess and my back was stiff. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, and it certainly was not what I would have guessed when I'd met Stefan in his study.
“Do you understand what I’m telling you?” His tone was low and serious.
I released a heavy sigh before slouching back in my chair, deflated by the news. “How sure are you?”
“I’m sure. I just don’t know how or why and I’m not quite sure who exactly, but it’s either Samuel or Dylan or both.”
Please don’t let it be Dylan.
“I want you to be the one to look into this. You’re still on the outside of the business. You’ll have fresh eyes and if you start poking around into things, you’ll have shadowing as an excuse and you’re most likely to be underestimated if caught. I’m going to provide you with all the books and the flash drive. Those will give you a crash course on how we run our drugs. I’m also going to put my tech specialist at your disposal. He typically doesn’t leave his home but is making an exception and will be staying here until we find what we need. He’s not really a people person. No one in the family has met him in person apart from Jameson and myself. He should be here any minute.”
I was speechless. All I could do was sit there while I processed.
