Desiring Dylan - Suzanne Jenkins Page 0,18

date to look at a townhouse the next day, and he’d like to take her to brunch up there afterward.

Sunday was wonderful. They looked at the townhouse, and she fell in love with it. Then they had brunch at a French bistro, which faced the canal. They walked around the neighborhood, and then he asked her if she was ready to head south. In the car, like magnets, they kissed, hands skimming each other’s bodies. If he would have asked, she would have had sex with him in the car right then, their encounter was that hot.

Once they got back into Center City, he asked if they could stop at his house. He wasn’t ready for the day to end. She loved the house; of course, anything was better than her shared Queen Village apartment. His place was a three-bedroom condo in a historic building in Rittenhouse Square. The high ceilings and spacious room flooded with natural light took her breath away. Minimally decorated, she got it. He didn’t have time for decorating. It had the essentials.

He served her wine and cheese, turned music on, and reached for her so they could dance around the living room. It was so romantic; she was falling in love with Dylan already.

Alone with privacy, it didn’t take long for them to get carried away. It was risky, jumping into the sack with a guy she’d only known for two days, but he seemed sincere, and he was hotter than any guy she’d ever been with.

She probably instigated having sex as much as he did, kissing him, reaching down to feel his erection, and before long they were undressing each other and falling into his bed. They kissed like they had the night before after the theater, and one thing led to another, she was pulling her shirt off over her head, and he pushed her down on the bed, unzipping his shorts and then reaching over to touch her breasts. She lay back, letting Dylan have his way with her, sucking and squeezing her; the feeling was so wonderful that she only wanted one thing, for his ample erection to get inside her as fast as possible.

The sex was explosive and satisfying. When they finished, and he made sure she was satisfied in a most delightful way, she curled up against him, and they both fell asleep.

The sun was long set, and they forced themselves to get out of bed.

“I have to get up at five. I wish the night could last forever.”

“I do too. I can get a car home.”

“No way. I’ll take you.”

They held hands driving the two miles to her place, and when there wasn’t a place to park in front, she told him to let her off. They kissed again.

“I’ll talk to you soon,” he said. He waited until she was inside her apartment before leaving.

Swept off her feet, when she didn’t hear from him for the next five days, the shock and anger almost made her block his number. She cried on Sukey’s shoulder.

“Oh, honey, was it worth it, though? You said he was wonderful. Maybe he’s busy.”

“Too busy to send a text? I don’t think so. I’m such a fool!”

Finally, Friday afternoon he called her.

“I was wondering if you’d left town,” she said, clearly upset.

“Yeah, I’m sorry. There’s something you should know about me. I have OCD about the job. It’s a twenty-four-seven thing for me. But I hope you’ll be my weekend person.”

“Wait. My phone has cobwebs in it, and you want to see me again?”

“Yes. Just because I didn’t call doesn’t mean I didn’t have a great time last weekend. I want to do it again this weekend. Next weekend I’m on call, which sucks.”

“How much time does it take to send a text? I’m alive, thinking of you. Five seconds, max.”

“Okay, I’ll try to do better.”

“I thought it was a one-night stand,” Landon said, trying not to sob into the phone. “It was so embarrassing. I’ve never done that before, and I wondered if you thought I jumped into bed with everyone.”

“No way. I’m so sorry. I guess I hoped you could read my mind. I like you. A lot. I want to see you again. And again.”

She felt ridiculous because they weren’t a couple, not yet, and she was already making demands. But if he couldn’t deliver that much at least, there was no point in seeing him.

“So can I see you tonight?”

“Yes.”

“And what about Saturday and Sunday?”

“Yes and yes. By the way,
