Delinquents Turned Fugitives - Ann Denton Page 0,50
at least take one of the guys down with him.
Just after he'd finished, Malcolm and Andros walked by, both already dressed and ready for the day. When they noticed all of us gathered together they stopped. Andros leaned against the door frame and peered in. "What's—"
"DON'T!" Gray leapt at him. "No fucking questions." He stopped just short of pushing Andros. But when the huge guy opened his mouth again, Gray lifted a hand and I watched him suck the air from in front of Andros, denying him the ability to speak. "Zero questions."
Andros nodded.
"Man, your pants!" Malcolm exclaimed.
"Shut it."
"It wasn't a question," Malcolm responded.
From the other side of the room, Z called out, "What's wrong Gray? Don't you like questions?"
Gray tried to fight it. He trembled where he stood. But he couldn't stop it. His dick tented his pants in two seconds flat this time. Four seconds later, he was on his knees and thrusting at the air like some hip-hop dancer. "Get out!" he yelled as he came; the words came out hoarse and strangled.
Malcolm and Andros both looked confused while Evan shook his head and Z doubled over in laughter.
Gray leapt up from the wooden floor and charged at Z. "You're a dead man!" he yelled.
But, suddenly, Zavier wasn't in front of him anymore. The obnoxious shit was all the way across the room. "Well, if you're gonna be a bad sport about it, I can always ask—"
"Get out!" Gray ordered. "The only one allowed to ask questions is Hayley. Tomorrow. If I haven't unraveled this shit by then." He met my eyes as the guys started into the hall and Evan and Zavier explained my prank.
"I'll just let you get cleaned up," I turned to leave but Gray's voice stopped me.
"I might have actually liked this one, Nemesis. But you had to go and ruin it." He sighed and pointed at the giant wet spot that covered his crotch. "You could have had all that."
"Well, I didn't like the dick nose. Particularly when you kept trying to rub it while I wrote the spell to unravel it," I parried.
He pursed his lips. "So, it's gonna be like that, then, I guess. We're gonna raise the stakes every time." He almost made both of those into questions but hurriedly converted them both to statements as I watched.
I bit down on a smile, and I could see his own amusement lingering under his anger. I got caught up in his gorgeous brown eyes for a second before I said, "No truces. You know how I feel about them."
He paced toward me, that challenging look I'd come to love forming on his face. "Oh, trust me, there will be no truce. You just woke the beast, little girl."
Tension crackled between us like fireworks and, for a second, I regretted that everyone had been in here and that I hadn't asked him some very, very personal questions. "I might wanna use this prank again on you."
"Too bad. I'm definitely writing all kinds of protection spells to stop you," Gray murmured, as he took a step closer to me.
"I'll just have to unravel those," I countered with an arch of my brow. He licked his lips and my eyes darted to their plush shape.
"I'm gonna keep you tied up with so many pranks you won't have time," Gray threatened in a seductive purr.
"We'll see," I winked at him then turned to saunter out.
The smack on my ass didn't sting a bit, it just served to heat the space between my thighs and made me ready for whatever Gray's next prank would be. Whatever it was, it would have to wait until later, because we had a shit ton of work to do. We’d stolen the serum. Now, it was time for us to steal Matthew away and give him back his future.
We caffeinated some more before we headed out to divide and conquer.
Malcolm rode off to join a “Unnaturals are Unnecessary” march led by some norms who wanted to eliminate the Unnatural Spell altogether. They claimed it was too dangerous and should be illegal. He was going to use that as his cover for failing to return to MAD. He said he often skipped out on school for various political movements, so it wouldn’t be out of character for him.
Evan went to tell his parents he wanted to go back to home schooling after everything that had happened at the ball. That would prevent him from having to go back to MAD.
