you were comfortable letting them see that. I’m not saying we’d do anything too personal, but I didn’t want to embarrass you.”
He swallowed and gave a vague nod. “Oh.”
For someone who wrote such articulate and emotionally charged characters, he was very…quiet. “That’s not enough words for me to even guess what you’re thinking.”
“You’re right. I’m sorry.” It was polite and seemed genuine, but the apology wasn’t helpful either.
I finally sighed and gave him a stern stare. “I will find a private spot where we can have a thorough conversation if that’s necessary.”
That helped.
Kind of.
He gave a low moan and shifted in his seat. “Don’t do that. You’ll turn me on.”
Barking out a laugh, I shook my head. “What are you thinking, naughty boy?”
A quiet whimper escaped before he shook his head like he was clearing all the sexy thoughts and took in a deep breath. Letting it escape slowly, he was clearly trying to get his thoughts in order, but it didn’t seem to be working very well. “Okay. There is nothing you could do around them that would embarrass me. Some of their reactions would probably embarrass you, but the guys and I are closer than friends. Family probably isn’t even the right word.”
I could see that. Just the glimpses I’d seen of his conversations with Jonah showed that. “I understand.”
He finally squirmed, looking cutely embarrassed. It wasn’t an expression I was used to seeing on him. Most of the time I got blank stares as his brain whirled. “It’s kind of…I mean, we’re…”
This wasn’t getting anywhere and we only had a few minutes before we were going to be too late to avoid questions. There were already heads poking out of the front door that Dakota hadn’t seemed to have noticed yet.
“We’re outside of a BDSM club. Let’s keep that in mind.” I grinned as he sighed and rolled his eyes. “If I’m shocked by anything remotely related to the club or to sex, I shouldn’t be allowed to go in with you. So let’s try this again. Tell me about your relationship with the guys.”
Dakota nodded, taking another deep breath. “We’ve all fooled around in different ways over the years and a few weeks ago at a pool party at Jonah’s house we…well, everyone was naked and…doing stuff and Simon ended up encouraging me and Wade to jerk each other off. So yeah, they won’t be shocked by anything but you might. So just…”
He was so funny.
He wrote about the craziest sex and relationships, but real life was incredibly awkward for him.
“So what you’re saying is to be careful how I phrase things or I’ll accidentally set off an orgy?” The huff he let out as he rolled his eyes again had laughter bursting out of me.
When he smacked my arm like I was one of his buddies, I growled low and leaned over, pinning him against the door. “Is that how you treat your Dom? I think I’m going to have to start being more firm with my naughty boy.”
His eyes were like saucers and in a split second his pupils were blown wide with desire as he melted against me. “Yes…I’m sorry…Yes, I need you to be firm with me.”
I probably should’ve expected that response.
Bracing one arm against his seat, I stroked my other hand over his chest. I’d let him put on jeans and a casual shirt earlier instead of making him wear the sweatpants, but I was going to reconsider that for next time we were with the guys.
“I went shopping earlier this week for my naughty omega. Don’t tempt me, wicked boy, or you’re going to end up caged and plugged. I don’t think they’d miss that later, do you?” I grinned as he groaned. “I bet they’d enjoy seeing you tortured with pleasure and not being allowed to come, wouldn’t they?”
His head bobbed up and down. “They’d drive me nuts about it…you wouldn’t…I mean…”
Words were still not easy for my needy boy. “But I would…I have no shame when it comes to what I’d do to you with the right audience.”
Letting that sink in, I brushed a kiss over his lips and straightened. “Now, our audience is getting restless, so let’s go in. Then you and the guys can have fun.”
He cleared his throat. “There are a few things we have to talk about before I go out with them later.”
Oh yeah, judging by the vague comments he’d made and what I’d overheard, I bet that was an understatement. “I was
