The Curse of Redwood (Ivy Grove #2) - Jaclyn Osborn Page 0,122
me on the bed and covering my body with his. He pulled off his shirt before grazing his fingers along the hem of mine and tugging it up and over my head.
“You’re so warm,” he said, as our bare chests slid together. He grabbed my hips and rolled to his back, pulling me on top of him.
“So are you,” I responded, unbuttoning his pants. He looked so… human in his skinny jeans. “Are these Callum’s clothes?”
“He bought them for me.” Zeke rose up and flicked my nipple with his tongue. I moaned and tangled my fingers in his hair. “Let’s not talk about him right now.”
He slammed our mouths together as he worked my pants down. We pulled apart long enough for me to kick them off and to tug his down and release his thick cock.
“I just had a thought,” I said, after grabbing the lube.
“Do tell.”
“Since you’re human now… do you have spunk?”
Zeke’s laugh transitioned to a moan as I slicked his cock with lube. He growled low before digging his fingertips into my hips. “Ride me and find out.”
“Oh, so naughty.”
“You made me this way.”
I sunk down on him and began a slow grind. His breath hitched in his throat before he bit his bottom lip and peered up at me. We’d had sex so many times, but this felt like our first time. In many ways, I guess it was.
“Fuck,” I said, before I really got moving. “We should probably use a condom now. Since you’re not a ghost anymore.”
“Do you plan on being with other men?” he asked, holding me in place.
“Hell no.”
“Neither do I.” Zeke thrust up into me and smiled when I gasped. “You know, I’m technically a virgin all over again.”
I grinned. “Time for me to change that.”
The sex was hard and fast. We were both too worked up, too desperate for each other’s touch. And when Zeke came, I felt his cock pulse and release into me. Undeniably human.
Afterward, he pulled me down and held me to his chest. He was fighting to catch his breath. “Has it always been this exhausting for you?” he asked, panting.
Laughing, I nuzzled his neck. “Yep. You’ll get used to it. There’s a lot of things you need to relearn.”
“Come with me,” he said, sitting up and pulling me with him. “We should clean up before bed.”
Once in the shower, Zeke pushed me against the wall and kissed me. The water came down on us, soaking in his hair and running down his toned body. As he broke the kiss and pulled back, droplets of water gathered in his long lashes before falling. It was hard to keep my hands off him as we washed, but I knew we’d never get out of the shower if I didn’t learn some self-control.
“I’m not going anywhere,” he said, catching me staring at him as we dried ourselves off.
“So this isn’t temporary?” I asked, placing my hand over his beating heart.
“No.” Zeke grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips. “Callum assured me that I am completely human. I will grow old just as you do.”
A tear slipped from my eye as I smiled. For once, it was because I was happy. “We’ll be sexy old men. Sitting on the porch in our rocking chairs while you read to me.”
His breath came out rough as he pressed our foreheads together. “A life at your side is all I wish for.”
We returned to the bed and got under the covers.
“I’ll tell Ben and Taylor about you tomorrow,” I said, tracing a design on his smooth chest. “They’re not going to believe it. I still don’t. I’m afraid I’ll wake up tomorrow, and this will just be a dream.”
“I understand what you mean.” Zeke held me closer. “I worry I’ll open my eyes in the morning and find myself back at Redwood. Still trapped there.”
“I heard today that someone bought it and will be turning it into a bed and breakfast.” I tilted my face up to look at him when he was quiet for several seconds. “Does that bother you?”
“Strangely, no. It’s freeing in a way. The curse will no longer claim any more innocent lives, and all the tortured souls trapped there have been released.”
“But it’s your home.”
“You are my home.”
“Keep saying stuff like that and I’ll attack you again.”
A raspy chuckle left him. “I regret to say my recovery isn’t what it once was. Damn this human body. Will I always feel so tired?”
