A Crown Of Smoke And Ash - Sloane Murphy Page 0,99

stone walls. A huge chandelier hangs above us, covered in crystals that reflect the light out across the huge entrance hall. People in here stop and watch as we enter, bowing or kneeling when they see Kain.

“That isn’t necessary,” he announces, waving at them to stand. They do as requested, and go about their business, eyes keep flitting back to us.

“This way,” Kain says to me softly and places his hand on the small of my back. “We’ll see the rest of you this evening.” He says to the five Generals, who nod their acceptance, Danerius eyeing me as Kain moves us past them, following Luc. We walk to the back of the entrance hall into a hall that splits off in three directions. We head left to the very end until we reach a stone staircase. We climb the spiral for what feels like forever, until we reach the hall connected at the top, a small rectangular place that has just one door. Luc opens it, still carrying our bags, and waves us through.

I step into the room, and gasp.

Holy crap.

Kain is such a cliché. I can’t help the laugh that ripples out of me as I take in the masculine room, the black silk bed sheets. The heavy black drapes covering the many windows in here. The grey walls, dotted with white picture frames and various pieces of art. The only color in here is the red runner on the bed, and the cushions.

“This is your room?” I ask him as Luc tries to hide the grin on his face at my reaction.

“This is our room, you do not like it?” he asks, and I laugh again.

“It’s very… black,” I say, and he smiles at me.

“I suppose it is. Though, I do rather think that is a color you favor.” He stalks towards me and wraps his arms around my waist.

“And that, ladies and gents, is my cue to leave. I’ll see you later,” Luc says, saluting us and shutting the door behind him.

“At last, I have you to myself!” he sighs against my lips, before capturing them with his. I catch my breath as he kisses me so hungrily, as if it has been a lifetime since he last tasted me. “And oh, the things I have planned for you before this evening.”

His wicked words spike my wanting for him, only fed by him picking me up and laying me down on the bed before him. “You’re wearing far too many clothes,” he groans. I move to lift my top, but he shakes his head.

“I do not remember telling you that you could undress,” he says, and wetness floods my pussy. This is a new side of Kain, and I am definitely not opposed to it. King Kain is far more take charge than the relaxed Kain I’ve come to know.

He moves me up the bed, and takes my hands, binding them to the bed frame with silk ties he pulls from his pocket. Not so tight I couldn’t break free, but tight enough to hold me in place.

“Perfect,” he sighs as he takes in every inch of me. He walks across the room to a dresser, and pulls open the top draw, pulling out two further ties. He ties my ankles to the end of the bed, I can still move, but only just.

“Where should I begin?” he muses, and I groan as he slips off my shoes and glides his hands up my legs, rubbing me through my jeans. He unbuttons them, and then pulls, tearing through the fabric. Dracul strength has more perks than I imagined, as he throws the torn pieces of fabric aside.

“I’m glad they weren’t my favorite pair,” I tell him, practically panting already.

“I would have replaced them,” he tells me, fire in his eyes. He tears at my tank top and I shiver, despite the heat in here, as my skin meets the air when he tosses what remains of my top to the floor, leaving me in just my red silk and lace bra and panties. I had a feeling he’d like them when I put them on this morning, but the look on his face makes me shudder. So much heat.

“You are the most beautiful thing I have seen in my entire existence,” he growls, making my hair stands on end. He crawls onto the bed, holding himself above me, and kisses me. I arch up into him, wanting more contact, and I feel his fangs lengthen. I
