“We will. But first, you should rest,” Levi says, burying his face into my neck and kissing me gently as his fingers draw circles on my ribs.

“I'll rest once we have Fallon, I promise I'm fine,” I say, a little breathless from his teasing. “Shit, I don't have our pack.” Being stuck in this leather get up really isn't how I want to stay.

“We'll figure something out.” Creek smiles at me reassuringly. I know it’s only a small thing in the grand scheme of things, but it pisses me off that she has anything of ours.

“And who... pray tell me... are you?” My head whips up to the edge of the alcove where who I'm assuming is Magnus looks down at us, an amused smile on his face. The guys go tense, and Magnus chuckles at them.

“Ahhhhh, you must the Hunter I've heard so much about,” he says, his eyes twinkling as he smiles. “I heard you royally pissed off Luna, which makes me extremely happy. And if you're the Hunter, that makes these pretty fellows your consorts. Very nice choice, darling.” His smile widens and I notice his pointed teeth, his grin riding the line between creepy and terrifying.

“Right?” I smile, because yes I’m also happy I pissed off Luna, and my guys are definitely pretty. “I assume you're Magnus?”

“The one and only,” he says winking at me, and I can't help but laugh. It's the strangest thing, to have a blue cat/man hybrid wink at you. “And I'm the one who can grant you access to where you need to go.”

“To the queen?” I ask hopefully, my guys all still on alert, watching for any sudden threats.

“Oh no, darling, I don't have a death wish,” he says and my shoulders slump a little. “But I can send you on your merry way to see Scarlett.”

“She's the higher Demon of the next level?”

“That she is, just maybe, don't let her too close to you're pretty little harem.” He winks again, and I swallow the laugh that rises.

“You'd just help us like that?” Roman asks skeptically.

“For the Hunter who pissed Luna off that much? You bet your ass I would.” He laughs, a deep belly laugh, and woops. “That stuck up bitch needed someone to knock her down a peg or two. I just wish I could've seen it!”

Roman looks perplexed, but I just smile. I kind of like this guy, even if he is a Demon.

“So, do you want to get going, or do you want to join the party?” He asks me directly.

“We should get going. We've spent too much time trying to get through levels as it is,” I say, sighing a little. It'd be really nice to dip in that pool and just relax for a minute.

“Okay, well it’s your choice,” he says shrugging.

“Oh, one thing, since you're being so generous,” I say fluttering my lashes at him, its not a me thing, and it feels weird, but I need something to work so I’m willing to try anything at this point.

“Oh honey, no. No point using those pretty eyes on me, I'm more likely to crumble to one of your boys.” He winks at me again and I let the laugh out this time.

“Okay, well, dammit. But still, I left our pack with all of our clothes in on Luna's level. Is there anywhere I can get new clothes?” I ask him, aware I'm pushing my luck since he's already being so open and willing, but don't ask, don't get and all that.

“For you, sweetheart, sure thing.” He winks at me and snaps his fingers and the pack appears on the table I look at him wide eyed. Man I love magic when it’s on our side.

“Ah-ah... don't go and ruin it,” he says, wagging his finger at me.

“Oops.” I laugh, because wouldn't that just be fitting for how this day has gone. Survive everything to sell my soul for thanking someone for helping us.
